This hotel has gone from bad to worse over the years. Swimming pool in need of renovation Room not cleaned in 4 days No toilet paper Generally dirty and grubby The fridge we requested on arrival was delivered a day later, but they turned it of every day We were booked in for 15 nights but left after 4. Even this was a saga, does not take credit cards. On a positive note, breakfast was good . For your health and sanity avoid this hotel…

Arrived late and put in inadequate room- was unable to move to a room we had actually booked till the next day! Wi-Fi only in main block. No response to inquiries regards onward travel. No pool chairs or sunbeds had to use a plastic chair from restaurant! Have to ask for room to be cleaned. Photos on website probably taken over 10 years ago as totally rundown hotel- air con was good though! I would not revisit or recommend this hotel

Tired hotel

Posted 26 Feb 2018
Stayed here years ago and it is now very tired. Room was clean & comfortable. Cleaned daily, sometimes got too many towels sometimes not enough. Dining room was certainly not as clean as it was- evidence of last nights food on the floor & the table clothes, breakfast largely catered for the predominantly Indian guests. Happy to return to the resort but not this hotel

Pros: nothing
hotel very tired, very little information supplied by reception, breakfast very poor and no effort to cater for Europeans. the hotel was set up for north Indians. a pool bar that wasn't open. no furniture in the room apart from a tiny cupboard

Pros: Pool
Cons: Everything
Location: If it was not for the surrounding , the stay would be awful
Made the best of it, not happy, nothing more to say, overall a below par experiance with the management and ebookers whom we booked through

A great location.

Pros: We liked this hotel because of its location close to beach, and all resturants, it is also very peaceful and relaxing.
Cons: More storage space in room a wardrobe would have been nice.
Location: Just a short walk there are plenty of companies who do tours to the backwaters houseboats, and day trips.
We were taking well cared for from the time we arrived. The staff were very helpful and, nothing was too much trouble.

Very nice hotel and staff. Fifty yards from beach.

Posted 18 Feb 2015
Pros: As above.
Cons: Stop guests from walking through shrubs and across lawns on the way to the restaurant. The grounds are being spoilt. Rooms cleaned earlier in the day.
Location: Fifty yards from beach. Lots of organised trips available. Many restaurants and shops. Bus station nearby. Two very steep roads out of Kovalam.
Great, pleasant and helpful staff. Room (superior) was very good, clean, everything worked. I particularly appreciated the room being mosquito proof, meaning all mesh over ventilation openings were perfectly secure. Restaurant staff were particulary thoughtful and helpful. All in all, a very pleasant stay at The Jasmine Palace.
