Perfect getaway

1st class hotel and service in a beautiful location with great views of the sea. Our room was stunning with a big balcony.

The Chanler is a very nice place. Although for what you get it is very over-priced. The rooms are great, the grounds are great, and the staff is friendly and helpful. There just aren't enough of them. The bar is understaffed as was the breakfast wait staff. It shouldn't take 90 minutes for breakfast. The bar closes at 9 so don't plan on coming back from dinner and having a drink outside to listen to the waves if it's past 9, unless you brought your own wine. Having a drink outside in the afternoon requires you to order directly at the bar. These are all minor inconveniences but for the cost of a room in the summer, it's just not worth it. Stay downtown, walk to everything, and have many more options.

Outstanding Hotel/Staff in Newport

We have absolutely nothing negative to say about The Chanler! What a beautiful hotel right on the Cliff Walk. The staff was the best we’ve encountered in our many travels. Our room was spotless each day. We will definitely go back the next time we visit Newport.

From the moment I booked my reservation at The Chanler at Cliff Walk, the experience was exceptional. Hannah, the concierge, is an outstanding host! Upon our arrival, we were greeted with a warm welcome, delicious sparkling wine, and a quick tour of this magnificent place. We booked “The Renaissance” room, which is not only the largest but also the BEST room. The view was exceptional! Waking up to the delightful sunrise was a highlight. The room itself is spacious, bright, and elegantly fit for royalty. I highly recommend booking dinner at the restaurant inside The Chanler. The food is absolutely divine! The memorable meals, including the Wagyu steak I had, were so outstanding they earned a core memory. Our waiter, Alex, and another gentleman were so knowledgeable and funny, making the experience magical. I also highly recommend getting in-room spa treatments from Sarah and Jen, they are truly wonderful and experts at their craft. The hospitality of this majestic hotel is unforgettable. I highly recommend experiencing The Chanler at Cliff Walk. Thank you so much to the stupendous staff.

The staff was so impressive on how they took care of all of my needs. They were beyond friendly and respectful. Absolutely one of the best places I have ever stayed at in the world. And I look forward to visiting again.
