Hotel in gem of a town
Posted 7 Jan 2020 on HotelsWe ended up staying in Hotel Newport at very short notice. Staff were lovely and although rooms were dated, they were clean. Did not spot the kettle the first night so was disappointed by that as I thought there was none. However, the cupboard that contained the tea/coffee etc was pointed out to me the next day - would have preferred it's location to be more obvious. Cooked breakfast choice was excellent and the food served was good quality. Unexpectedly got to join the town's Nephin Beggers for a bit of hill walking on the Sunday which was a bonus.

A lovely place to stay

Well positioned to visit nearby tourist attractions. A little disappointed that they didn’t provide a laundry service despite advertising so (a nearby laundry solved my problem).

Posted 30 Jun 2019 on HotelsRoom was spacious and clean but situated to the front and right above the smoking area, so noisy until the bar closed. Breakfast was ok and the staff were lovely and did everything they could but seemed a bit overwhelmed by the number of guests who turned up for breakfast.
