This hotel is within easy access to Newcastle city centre and has plenty of parking. The breakfast was convenient in that it stopped us having to stop elsewhere but was fairly underwhelming.

Was ok last vtime, not so good this time

Reception was specifically asked for a room close to reception with minimum walking. Was allocated the furthest room from reception. Communication breakdown.
Reception also asked when food stopped being served, was told 11pm. This was wrong, so couldn't get any dinner, disappointing.
Room has very noisy fridge.

Thank you for your review and sorry to hear you were disappointed with your stay on this occasion, it was not our intention to upset you or have you leave having not enjoyed your stay with us. We did received your request for a room close to reception, due to the room type you booked we do not have any of these on the first corridor from reception, we did however allocate you a room on the opposite side which has doors right next to the room leading to the public areas so this is still classed as a room close to reception, rather than allocating you a room at the back of the hotel. I am sorry that this was not made clearer to you on arrival to the hotel. The gym and pool close at 8pm on a Sunday however they would have re-opened 5.30am until 10pm on your second day so still able to access the facilities. I am sorry you were misinformed of the restaurant opening times by reception, we do have some new team members on reception who are still training, I will pass on your comments to the reception manager and ask her to address this, and your other points so that she can implement additional guest information training. I hope this experience does not put you off staying at the hotel again and that you will consider staying with us again in the future.

Room was nice but slightly dirty, I’m not one to complain so I just got on with it as I don’t see it as a huge issue but some may not have been happy

Nice pool & gym
