My stay at OYO Times Square was an absolute nightmare, and I have the entire experience documented on video as I was filming a hotel review.
From the start, I was placed in a wheelchair-accessible room with a window that wouldn’t shut properly, leaving the room freezing cold throughout my stay. This led to me catching a cold. The towels were in such poor condition that they disintegrated upon use.
The room’s blackout buttons didn’t work, so I had no access to sunlight. The room itself was dusty and unkempt, with trash left behind by previous guests—a clear indication of inadequate cleaning. To add to the inconvenience, the room phone didn’t work, and the shower water alternated between scalding hot and freezing cold, with no comfortable middle temperature.
Throughout my stay, the hotel staff was completely absent. At the end of my trip, the manager finally toured the room with me, apologized for the poor conditions, and took note of all the issues I had experienced.
Despite this, things worsened after I returned home. Not only did I not receive my incidental deposit back, but I was also falsely accused of smoking in the room and charged an additional $400. This is an outrageous and dishonest practice.
Thankfully, I documented the entire stay on video, which proves the poor condition of the room and the lack of service. This hotel is nothing short of a scam and isn’t worth even $20 a night. The only positive aspect was the location near Times Square. but not worth it.
