I travel for work and have spent many trips searching for that perfect hotel in NY. Excited to finally share that this hotel checks all the boxes. Ideal location, is quiet, has good amenities, and the rooms are just right. I would say the only thing missing is a good robe, but if that's the tradeoff for a spacious NY hotel with a good shower, I am ok with that. Looking forward to coming back every time.

The hotel was ok. It was mostly clean. They seem to be in a transition and our room seemed to be some what upgraded. The breakfast was all carbs no protein and no gym on site. I found the hotel to far from most things you would want to do.

I arrived at the now, Park Ave Hotel, to discover that the ownership and name had changed overnight without any prior notification. Despite pre-paying for my stay, I provided a card for incidentals upon check-in. The next morning, I found that over $900 had been charged instead of the expected $200. When I addressed this, I was told it would take a week to refund the difference—completely unacceptable. Later that evening, I was locked out of my room and asked for an additional $200 for "resort fees." After a lengthy discussion about the $900 issue, I was assured the resort fees wouldn't be charged. However, I later discovered they had been taken anyway. To make matters worse, I witnessed two other guests being locked out of their rooms over similar "resort fee" issues, which were never mentioned at check-in. The new owners—clearly from the UK—seemed indifferent, swanning around while their staff fumbled through these repeated mistakes. The front desk clerks appeared more interested in impressing their new bosses and angling for trips to London than resolving customer concerns. Adding insult to injury, the so-called "resort fees" don't provide anything of value. The amenities are nonexistent, and the "continental breakfast" consists of self-serve coffee, plain bagels, and sugary snacks—not exactly worth the extra charges. Very convenient. Hotel carpet and decor is dated for a 4.5 star hotel. The shower leaked all over the floor each time we took a shower. Good location, but probably not worth the nightly rate.

Basic room. The only amenity in the bathroom was a bar of soap. No tiny tube of toothpaste, shower cap, or anything else. Only way to turn the bedside lamp of or on was to plug it in, unplug it. No one answered call to front desk. Really surprised to find this kind of place in a desirable part of Manhattan. Worst breakfast buffet ever: every kind of carb. Best I could do was two cold slices of French toast and a strawberry yogurt.

Location was convenient & room was clean. The front desk staff was pretty disorganized both at check in & check out. We inquired on the valet policy twice & got two very different answers, which resulted in us having to change all our plans. Nothing special about this hotel, I'd recommend staying somewhere else for comparable offering with better staff.

The property was fine for a quick NY stay. The staff was nice and helpful. However some cons, we had a broken lamp which they never addressed or tried to fix, there was limited hot water, and the breakfast did not have any eggs! Some pros, great air conditioning, comfy bed, free bottled water and pop. Make sure if you are staying here you take a look at the places you want to visit, this is very convenient to go to Midtown, Lower east side, and upper east side. Its a little less convenient to get to the west village, upper west side, but it can be done on a few subway trains.

The property operates like a motel. No one out of the staff has ever worked in a hotel before the property looks tired and dirty. There is no room service. There is no food in the morning. They give microwavable stuff. There is no glass plates. There is no glass cups. Everything is paper, although the rooms look clean They’re really not the shower has a deep rust stain. I paid 700 a night. This is the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed at. I feel like this is just a rip off. The staff isn’t even dressed like they were in a hotel. They have young kids running around the hotel that have no clue about the hotel business.

I booked a stay at the Mondrian and the hotel changed ownership in between when I booked and when I arrived, something I was not advised of which was a bit of a drag. The staff is young and kind but the hotel is tired and fraying at the seams - literally, the curtains were frayed and coming off the track in my room. One blind was completely gone. There are scuffs on the walls and doors. There is no on site cafe or restaurant. The bath product bottles were empty. I got a good deal on my room so that made it less annoying but be aware that this now feels very much like a budget hotel (with the bonus of the extremely comfortable beds and great pillows you’d expect to find at the Mondrian). If you’re looking for good value, this may be right up your alley. If you’re looking for a lovely hotel experience, this isn’t it. I wish I had booked elsewhere.
