Well kept Art Deco Hotel... Clean quiet best location in midtown Manhattan Easy to go West or East Great eateries within walking distance... Good: The check-in experience was great. Need improvement: Rooms need serious upgrades. The bedding for the sofa bed was like sand paper. The breakfast menu was limited, quality was average and price was high. In general, this is not what we were expecting from a hotel like J.W. Marriot.

Great greeting staff, excellent restaurant, clean rooms, great view. Had a small issue and was adressed immediately by the manager, she went above and beyond.

The customer service was excellent. The king room was quite small and the hotel upgraded us to a much larger room with double beds on a higher floor. I would recommend booking the double rooms on a higher floor. The double rooms on the lower floors did not have much natural light.

Spent a few nights here for a mini trip to NYC with my family. Although this is a dated but maintained hotel, the room was very comfortable and the location was perfect for visiting museums and seeing shows. Staff was great and left a few surprises for my kids when we checked in.
