Booked premium balcony room, there was no hot water throughout the building, had to take cold showers; curtain was broken, for a room with a balcony; no late checkout time for IHG members. No extra linen, slippers, toothbrush, or toothbrush like other indigos have. Probably used as one of the NYC shelters like the Hyatt in LIC. don’t recommend going.

Good afternoon Li - Let's clear some misinformation and provide context as this can be misleading. There was an issue with the hot water which was unplanned. To clarify further, things sometimes break and the important thing is for the business to do their due diligence when and where possible. We immediately placed a call and fixed the issue. Furthermore, you failed to mention that we provided compensation to the affected guests as we understand this was an inconvenience. As for the curtain, I do see that there was an issue which we communicated with the Engineering department. Unfortunately we are missing the item and placed an order to permanently fix. Regarding the IHG members amenities, you are only eligible for your benefits when you book directly through the hotel. Lastly, we are not, not were we ever, a shelter hotel.

My only problem is that the hotel doesn’t have ours own (free) parking. If you rent a car you’ll have to use the parking garage next door and pay $37 every night to park. Otherwise the hotel itself is decent.

There was no hot water in the building due to a gas leak. Hot water is a standard amenity and clients should be compensated for the inability to access it. I had planned to work at the hotel until my afternoon flight out, but there wifi was terrible. The staff said the wifi is terrible, but corporate has done nothing to fix it. The positives: the room was comfortable, clean and the staff was really great, but corporate needs to remedy some major issues. I feel bad for the hard working staff that is doing their best to accommodate their guests with these controllable issues.

Nikki - Thank you for your feedback. We have compensated all guests that were affected by the leak. Clearly this was out of our control and we remedied the situation as quickly as humanly possible. We have not heard of any issues with the Wifi and have multiple networks for our guests. Hope this helps.

I’m a frequent traveler and stay at hotels several times a year and have for years. I’ve never left a bad review, but felt compelled to leave this one so people don’t pay for something without knowing that it’s not worth it. Staff at the front desk did their job that was about it no warmth, not welcoming or helpful. The building is extremely tired. Our unit was clearly not well maintain the flooring has been worn out in areas and the thermostat although new has this peculiar feature where the HVAC vent in the main room points directly to the thermostat, which causes it to cycle on/off. It should be aimed towards the window area, and for some reason the HVAC wouldn’t turn on when the thermostat was turned up until I flipped the breaker to reset the system. Sound insulation is poor - could hear hall noise all day and night as well as from the elevator. The telephone system has no way to dim the LED screen which stays on all the time. If you’re a sensitive sleeper to light, the solution is put it underneath the table or put a towel over top of your phone. Similarly, the alarm clock is also not able to turn the illumination off. The area where the hotel is located is not a particularly attractive area so all in all there really isn’t much to draw someone to the hotel. Pricing for what you receive was very high $400 for Saturday night is a lot of money for a hotel that’s old and tired and not well maintained. I didn’t try any of the food. Pick somewhere else …
