The hotel needed updating. My bathroom mirror was cracked on the edge and the cabinet was off its hinges. I took photos I was in room 640 if they’d like to fix these issues.

I’ve traveled and stayed at multiple hotels and this place was by far the biggest disappointment. The junior suit we stayed in had wall paper peeling, damaged doors and furniture, horribly uncomfortable beds and very rude security staff. Me and my family were given another room after voicing our complaints but the replacement room was unacceptable as well with more damaged furniture, horrible beds and just not what you’d expect from a four star hotel in NYC.

The location next to Lincoln center is wonderful if you are attending their events! That's why we stay there. The rooms are spartan and in disrepair. The temperature in our room was comfortable only if we set the thermostat at 60 degrees (in January). One morning we had no hot water. The room next to us had a small dog that barked at just about everything.

The rooms are run down and need a renovation. Beds were horrible. So hard and very uncomfortable. We almost went down to lobby or mezzanine to sleep on the sofas. Location is perfect just wish the hotel was in better condition and beds were more comfortable. Felt like you were sleeping on wood!

Everyone was so helpful opening doors and greeting us. Very courteous staff. We were able to get rooms next to each other which we really appreciated!!! My friend's shower did not work properly but people were sent right away to work on it. We really enjoyed the upper floor for an evening drink. The only thing I wish we had was a coffee maker in the room, since I didn't really use the refrigerator. The complementary water bottles were very nice. We would definitely come back and have already told friends how great a place it is to stay. I hated to leave.

We have been staying at the Empire regularly for the last two years. We’d like the hotels, location, and generally speaking it suits our needs. However, this time the room was not great. It was extremely cold. It also did not have any exterior view, and there was a somewhat annoying sound coming from a machine outside in the courtyard. As people who stay there regularly, we think there should be someway that we could get priority for the best possible rooms. That might be something you could look into. Thank you.
