The Adria Hotel has some good things going for it, especially if you’re looking for a convenient location. It’s right off the Cross Island Parkway on Northern Boulevard, which makes getting around easy. Plus, the free parking behind the hotel is a huge bonus, and the setup makes it simple to get in and out. The rooms are decent-sized for a New York hotel, with a fridge, a desk, and plenty of outlets, so you’re covered there. The bathroom is pretty tight, but the water pressure in the shower is great, and the soap/shampoo dispensers are handy. The hallways are bright and open, which adds a nice touch, and they do offer a basic breakfast—nothing fancy, but it’s similar to what you’d get at a Hampton Inn, so no complaints there. That said, there are some quirks. Temperature control in the room was a hassle; when we arrived, it was a toasty 77°F, and the front desk suggested opening the windows to cool things down since there's no AC after Labor Day. That sort of worked, but it brought in a lot of noise from Northern Boulevard. Another small gripe: the room had very few hangers, so it’s a good thing we brought extras from home. Also, the hotel uses this automated texting system that bombards you with messages, encouraging you to reach out, but nobody actually seems to respond to those texts. I tried multiple times and got nothing back, which was pretty frustrating. It's a solid spot for the location and basics, but don’t expect perfection.

I recently stayed at this hotel, and while the staff was friendly, the property itself left much to be desired. The overall atmosphere felt outdated, and the room showed clear signs of wear and tear. The shower curtain was ripped, which was disappointing, and many areas of the hotel seemed to be in need of renovation. While the location may be convenient, the aging facilities detract from the experience. A little upkeep could go a long way in improving guest satisfaction.

The carpets were dirty and smelly. Temperature control was not working. Also the bed was so uncomfortable. I won't be returning again.

Exactly what we were looking for as we travel through NY. Easy access off the highway, clean and comfortable. Staff was friendly and helpful and free parking on site.

The staff and service are excellent. They are very polite and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable. However, there was a strange noise like pipes expanding (im assuming it was due to hot water running through) which would sound every hour. It didntnwake me up but bring a white noise machine. The breakfast buffet is ok. Overall a good stay. I recommend it if youre staying in the area.
