We were in Jiufen while Typhoon Krathon was still at sea considering whether to devour Taiwan. On the day of our check-in, my friend and me arrived late due to a series of unfortunate events that begin with missing the last bus from Taipei. Kevin, the affable owner of the place, not only stayed up to welcome us and give us an introduction to the room, but also updated us on the latest situation in Jiufen due to the typhoon forecast. More importantly, he offered invaluable insights on what to expect in the coming days. Our ‘Deluxe Double’ room with bay-view was spacious with a comfortable bed, table and seats. Aircon, Wifi and water heater all work as they should. The water pressure was awesome and the TV had ample channels to surf. However, it would be better if the power sockets were located nearer to the bed. Mysteriously, a few small insects still managed to infiltrate our room even though all the windows and doors were closed. There are some amenities like a hair dryer and hangers, with a useful humidifier in the corridor. At the common area downstairs, there is a hot/cold water dispenser and a fridge we can use if need. Kevin was a great host whom we can easily chat with and we’re glad we stayed at his place during our trip to Jiufen. Will definitely come back again when the skies are brighter in future.

Hello, I'm sorry that I couldn't arrive at 8:30 due to some things, but I think this does not affect your right to check out. I can't understand why you get low scores for this reason. I suggest you do it next time. Choose a hotel with a 24-hour front desk instead of a B&B, thank you.

Room space, interior & cleaniness were exactly as advertised, with hill top view. It is located on hilly site. Property manager, Kevin is polite and helpful, would receive guest who comes by bus and helps carry guest's luggage to steep steps leading to front desk & room. Highly recommend this B&B.

Good but could improve

Very basic room, clean but could have been cleaner. Slight damp smell, but overall it was good. Kevin (at reception) speaks great English and is very helpful.

the only concern is that they cannot provide an invoice, supposed to be it's a company welfare paid vacation for my family but I can't reimburse...
