Pros: It is private, clean and close to everything you need for a holiday in New Plymouth.
Cons: It was all good.
Location: The park, beach, restaurants all in walking distance.
Rachel was warm and welcoming. She could not do enough to help us and make recommendations of what to do and where to eat. We had an easy walk to most things and the Park across the road is amazing. If ever you go to New Plymouth you must stay at Hosking House.

Best place to stay in New Plymouth, New Zealand!!
Posted 19 Mar 2018This hotel (more like a private home!) is so super awesome that it’s difficult to describe in words. Very very elegant and so spotlessly clean! Very comfortable bed with loads of pillows. Bathroom has shiny polished wood floors with a glass shower and a heated towel rack. Room has a refrigerator and large windows that can be opened for a cool evening breeze. Right next door to a huge botanical garden and only a few minutes walk to CBD and the ocean. But the best part is the breakfast!!!! It’s different every day and includes such things as poached eggs, bacon, toast, corn fritters, jam, cereal and orange juice, tea and coffee. You definitely won’t be able to eat it all!

Outstanding B & B
Posted 11 Mar 2018 on HotelsOutstanding B & B - Best we have stayed in in over 50 years of travelling anywhere in the World.
Rachel's professional and friendly service and advice was much appreciated including booking of a restaurant close by on our arrival.
The breakfasts were exceptional, equal to any 5 Star Hotel.
We highly recommend Hosking House to any visitor to New Plymouth

Wonderful B&B close to town and the coast
Posted 22 Feb 2018
Pros: Everything.
Location: Town with museums and restaurants, and the coast within easy walking distance, a large natural park practically next door,
Hosking House is a real find - located within easy walking distance of the CBD and the Coast. The proprietors are extremely helpful and friendly, gladly taking care of little extras such as booking taxis and restaurant reservations, and the scrumptious full breakfasts make mid-day meals unnecessary! Great value, and highly recommended.

Awesome B&B
Posted 18 Apr 2017 on WotifThis was more like a boutique hotel rather than a B&B. Great period accommodation within walking distance of most activities. Just that right mix of Kiwi hospitality and 1st class service from our hosts. The guest rooms are separate to the hosts private quarters providing a nice bit of privacy. Highly recommended.

Nice hotel in great location for city and Pukekura
Posted 14 Oct 2016
Pros: Lovely breakfast, includes homemade bread and preserves.
Cons: The ONLY aspect that we did not rate well was the en-suite facilities. There is no door so noises and smells from the WC drift into the main bedroom
Rachel made us really welcome, and went out of her way to make our stay enjoyable. The hotel is next to Pukekura Park, which is really worth a visit. The hotel is only a short walk from the shops, museum, and restaurants.
