Everything was perfect. The staff was super friendly. The bands each night were amazing. We had so much fun. If you are looking for total silence this is not the place. Everything was within walking distance. We will definitely be back

The location is excellent for any jazz lover and the staff is phenomenal.
I’ve stayed here multiple times and I strongly recommend it. Marigny is a little gem just outside the Quarter and definitely a MUST visit if you’re coming to NOLA. Royal Frenchman is a lovely and unique little place nestled in the neighborhood and has the best vibe. 5-stars across the board!

Every one on staff here is friendly attentive and helpful. From arrival to departure and everything in between. My favorite place when I visit.
So impressed with The Marigny area and the locals, I will be promoting myself from 'guest' to neighbor before the end of the year!
Can't say enough good things about this property, the staff, the live music and the surrounding area.

Like a glorified hostel
Posted 6 May 2024 on HotelsWas terribly disappointed in the hotel overall. Felt more like a hostel. Room was in the attic with a slanted ceiling, so if you’re anywhere close to 6ft, you won’t fit. No closet (just a small rod with about 4 hangers) so suitcases had to sit on the ground. And although the bathroom looked like it had been upgraded, there was no outlet so good luck trying to dry your hair (though ironically they provided a hair dryer?) Also it’s right on Frenchmen street so it’s loud regardless, but there’s live music in the lobby so you hear that too. It’s fine if you don’t want to sleep during your stay.
It was so rough, we checked out 4 nights early and booked a different hotel in the garden district.
