Our stay was great. I would recommend this hotel! Very walkable to bus, sites and restaurants! Ladies at the desk were very kind and welcoming! Allowed us to store luggage before and after check in/out! Best bed I’ve ever slept in Europe!!!!! Nice balcony. No refrigerator but that was ok.
We would stay again! Very clean!!!!!

Bajamar Review
Posted 17 May 2024 on HotelsThe hotel was in a super location- a lovely short stroll of approx 6 mins to the Balcón area- close to the bus station and many many cafes and shops .
When we arrived we got a lovely warm welcome from receptionist.
Rooms are a nice size and plenty of wardrobe space, shower gel, towels, mirrors for getting ready and beds are comfy- we had a balcony, not a great view, but still lovely to have !
Pool is on the rooftop and well used by guests- about 20 sunbeds or so across the two rooftop terraces and spectacular views from there.
The hotel bedroom has no tea / coffee making facilities which is definitely a downside, the cafe attached to hotel closes each day at 2pm so if you like your cup of tea or a coffee you have to pop into one of the local cafes to get one. Top tip pop around the corner to The Good stuff cafe ! Fab breakfasts and lunches - such good portions and great value. It opens until 3pm each day and closes on Sat/Sun- staff are lovely and helpful.
We had an incident with our room, which was dealt with very professionally by the reception team and the manager Laura and it did not impact our holiday and we would definitely stay again.
I think it is more 3 stars than two stars !

The hotel was so clean, I didn’t have my room cleaned as I wasn’t there long and I requested do not disturb but I had fresh towels and toiletries and the rest of the hotel was immaculate. I used the shower next to the luggage room before I left in the late afternoon and that was also modern and very clean.
The receptionist was so friendly and welcoming - helping me with my Spanish ( I only know short phrases ) she was very attentive and I can imagine she would go above and beyond for others.
The pool on the roof was beautiful and again the area was very clean - views are stunning! It was quiet in that area, it was still abit cool to use the pool and it’s not a “sun holiday” hotel - more of a base for travellers but nice for a dip at the end of the day. They close the pool area when it rains due to health and safety and the danger of slipping.
The room was lovely, bathroom like a wet room. TV and fridge but I didn’t use either.
The cafeteria was always very busy which is a good sign with lots of local Spanish there which suggests it’s good - I didn’t use it though so I can’t personally comment.
It’s not a quiet area - and I got woken up by girls singing while setting up tables outside the cafe at about 6am but I wasn’t too bothered, at least they are happy in their work but others might get annoyed. My balcony was facing the launderette with the mountains above.
5 mins walk to bus station. 10 mins walk to centre/ beach. I’d stay again. Female solo traveller who felt safe
