It was good overall, good and friendly service. bed was a bit uncomfortable also there was no plugs near the bed to charge the phone, and the wifi on the tv wouldn’t work.

Definitely worth a visit if in Rhodes Town

This was one of the nicest rooms we have ever had in Greece. Very clean and comfortable. The guy at reception was so friendly and helpful, and the "basic" breakfast was more than basic, it was lovely. Highly recommended.

breakfast is very minimal. bread rolls with jam, and a couple slices of ham and cheese between 2

Our booking was confirmed and paid for, when we arrived the manager said we could not leave our bags and if we did he would not be responsible although it clearly states baggage storage available. On returning at 3pm to book in we were asked how long we were staying for and said we had booked for one night. The manager then told us our booking had been changed to another hotel by Expedia which was untrue as we checked with Expedia. He told us we were booking into another hotel '5 minutes away' no apology or explanation. When we arrived at the Africa Hotel the manager said our booking had been made the previous night. Why were we not informed, why didn't the manager notify us on the morning we arrived and why not give a truthful reason for our move? The staff at the Africa Hotel were very welcoming and apologetic although it was not their fault, however the room was very small and basic and not one we would have chosen. Previous reviews has stated that the staff at the New York were friendly and helpful and this was far from the truth in our case

A basic hotel, great location with very thoughtful owners makes it more valuable. The owner was kind, gave helpful recommendations, and attentive.
