Difficulty getting in. No one in reception. Called a phone number to get into the garage. Waited for entry code to be sent to my phone (it was sent to the wring phone).
For three days there wss construction work being conducted on the building. The noise was so great that we could not stay in the building during the day. Management said it was council work they hadn't been advised about but the local newspaper said it was a projectbeing conducted in consultation with fhe hotel.

Hi William,It is very disappointing that your stay did not meet your expectations.The issue with the telephone number was due to the incorrect details being entered on your booking. We had sent you several emails leading up to your stay requesting that you review the information on your booking, including your mobile phone number that would be used for sending check in instructions. As soon as you contacted us and we realised your error, the instructions were sent to the correct number and we assisted you with your arrival.You seem to suggest that we have been dishonest in respect of our knowledge of the demolition works being carried out by council during your stay. We understand that the noise and disturbance caused by these works were not ideal, but we had no prior knowledge of these works and they were outside of our control. Whilst the council was in consultation with the building management regarding the work, the specific details of the timeline where not know by us. As soon as we became aware of these works, we obtained additional information and shared specific details with all guests so that they could plan their days accordingly.Your experiences during your stay are not typical and it is very unfortunate that they impacted your stay.All the best.Nelson Towers Motel & Apartments.

Once parked, you don't need your car. Shops, marina, food & dining, water, fishing, walking paths, tourist info centre etc all in easy walking distance.
Room was spacious, clean and well equipped. Bed and lounge were comfy, shower was great and there was a lovely, roomy balcony.
Only minor problem was the early setting up (dragging chairs) cafe below and traffic- if you enjoy a sleep in, you won't get one, but who wants to sleep late when there's so many great things to do.
