Upon arriving in Room 8026, which ia a swimout room, I immediately noticed a strong mildew and mold odor, likely caused by water damage in the room. After notifying the front desk, a staff member was sent to spray a product in the room, but unfortunately, this only intensified the odor. The unpleasant smell persisted throughout my entire stay, making the room uncomfortable and negatively impacting my experience.
Additionally, I had specifically booked a room with a king-sized bed, but upon arrival, I was given a room with two queen-sized beds. As a result, my husband and I were forced to sleep in separate beds, which was far from ideal. I understand that a king-sized bed became available later during my stay, and while I was initially told that I would be moved, this did not occur. Instead, the available king room was offered to another guest in my party, who was relocated from a swim-up room to a balcony room—an accommodation they did not pay for. In turn, we sacrificed our room and gave it to them to avoid further inconvenience, which left us in separate beds for the remainder of our stay.
While I appreciate the gesture of offering us a dinner on the beach as compensation for the bedding issue, the value of this offer was limited. As an all-inclusive resort guest, meals and drinks were already included in our package, so the dinner did not provide meaningful compensation. This experience did not meet the expectations I had for a relaxing and enjoyable vacation.

My husband and I really enjoyed the Royalton Hideaway Negril. The staff was super friendly. The entertainment was Amazing and the food was delicious.

Staff was on Strike during my stay october 21-24. Very limited services, only the buffet was available until my last night, the air in my room didn't work, didn't get moved until the last night.

We really enjoyed our stay.
Hideaway was a great way to relax and enjoy the Jamaican vibe.
We were dropped off at the Royalton lobby, and quickly whisked away to the Hideaway lobby and checked in. Immediately handed a refreshing drink while our paperwork was pulled up and completed. We were provided our room-key bracelets and taken to our room.
Our swim up room was our favorite treat. We were able to swim from our room right to the swim up bar.
The Hideaway pool was a great way to break the heat mid day.
The room was beautiful, with a soaking jet tub and a double rain fall shower, and his and her sinks. We utilized the closet and little vault (super easy to use). The mini fridge was restocked daily, ensuring we had two varieties of Coke products, lots of water, and two Red Stripe.
The bed was really comfortable, although the bedding seems to hold humidity when you or housekeeping shut off the AC.
I highly recommend running AC to help keep the room dry and to provide relief from the humidity mid day and before sleeping.
We didn’t really use the TV other than to review the accommodations.
The restaurants were pretty good. Our favorite was Calypso by a long shot. We had had high hopes for a few of the others, but they the food was just slightly better than OK. I tried steak at 3 of the restaurants, but was disappointed by “doneness”. I had had two near “blue-rear” and one “well done” delivered when “medium-rare” was requested. Sides and drinks were spot on.

The staff at the Hideaway was truly exceptional and went above and beyond to assist me, especially after my incident within their control—they truly deserve recognition and even a raise for their hard work.
However, there were a few aspects that could be improved. During my five-day stay, construction workers were frequently blocking the entryway to the dining area, which made it difficult to navigate.
As for the food, it was disappointing and reminded me of cruise fare. Even when dining at the specialty restaurants, the menu seemed to mirror what was available in the main hall where no reservations were required. This felt redundant and took away from the experience.

The property was so beautiful and the staffs was so nice to us and both food and drinks was satisfying it worth’s the stay I had a great experience which left us with great memories

Strike on my wife's BIRTHDAY AND ANNIVERSARY IN ONE. YOU ALL MUST BE DAMN CRAZY. PLUS NOOOO FOOD TO EAT, NO ROOM SERVICES, NOT EVEN WATER TO TAKE MY HEART MEDICATION. I NEED MAJOR COMPENSATION IMMEDIATELY. I NEED MY EVERY DOLLAR REFUNDED TO ME IMMEDIATELY.
