Lovely hosts giving you a truely personal experience. Access to next hotel's pool is a nice touch. The room layout was odd but they will be undergoing renovation soon so hopefully reworking the internal layout. Otherwise clean and tidy and nice view of the garden to the beach. Be aware of beach salesmen. Would recommend this hotel.

Amazingly friendly owners and staff, very helpful and flexible. Very convenient location, walking distance to the town, numerous restaurants and shops, right by the beach. Fresh and tasty breakfasts served on a balcony/patio. The surroundings are to be imprived; the owner plans to add some greenery, possibly a swimming pool. When that happens, it would be truly a gem.

Smelly
Posted 12 Nov 2018 on HotelsThe owner stayed up to let me in as checkin shuts at 10pm and my flight landed at 10pm which was lovely of him
As soon as I walked in the smell hit us and I had to tell him that we could not stay there
If he had any decency he would have let hotels.com know and refunded me my money

Thanks for the comment. After reading you review, its funny you found the room smelly. We had used our Air Fresher which was Jasmin. It may have not been appealing to you. Sorry to hear that though, although we didn't have any complains from any of our other guest's. We have a great review score so far. We hope you had a good holiday in Sri Lanka !

Lovely pre-airport stay
Posted 11 Jan 2018 on HotelsWhile Negombo has a bit more of a party vibe than I prefer, Janishi Residencies was an excellent place to spend our last day in Sri Lanka before an early flight at the nearby airport. We were welcomed by a father-daughter pair who were super engaging and lovely, and sat with us for a good 20 minutes to get to know us over tea. This was also the only place we stayed in the country that offered window screens so we didn't have to deal with the hassle of a mosquito net!

Everything was wonderful! Next to the beach, Tasty breakfast, extrem kind and helpful staff! The cleaning Lady makes a really good job!

旅行終盤の2泊をこちらで過ごしました。家族経営で、とても暖かいお父さんと娘さんが出迎えてくれます。部屋も簡素で過ごしやすく、まるで親戚の家にでも遊びに来たような感覚に陥ります。そして、なにより朝食がおいしい！スリランカ料理（カレーがメイン）かコンチネンタルを選べるのですが、あまりの美味しさに二日間ともスリランカ料理をリクエストしました。果物もたくさんで贅沢！スリランカ再訪の際には、必ずこちらにまた泊まりたいです♪
