Favourite hotel in Sri Lanka!

We had a really lovely stay here! Probably our favourite hotel in Sri Lanka. The staff is really nice, the pool is lovely and the hotel is in really good condition. Great value for your money and a must visit for animal lovers.

Really enjoyed our stay at Hotel Villa Kapuru! The staff are really friendly and helpful, they even did some washing for us during our quick stay! So many cats and dogs around the property which were happy and friendly. Very close walk to the beach and surrounding restaurants. Wi-Fi reception wasn’t the greatest and the aircon in our room was very noisy at times but didn’t really affect our stay too much and we would definitely recommend if staying in Negombo!

Great staff and comfortable place!

Highly recommend Hotel Villa Kapuru! The staff were very helpful and friendly. Breakfast was delicious. This is a terrific place to stay when coming or going from Colombo airport, or as a Negombo area destination hotel.

Wonderful and welcoming stay

Dennis, Prawale and Nalaka gave me a fantastic first impression of Sri Lanka. Great customer service, comfortable rooms, delicious breakfast in a nice ambiance at a very central location made for a wonderful stay

A nice stay!

The hotel is in a good location to nearby cafe/restaurants, and the airport. The rooms are basic, but perfectly fine for a few days. The owner is really friendly and also owns a restaurant nearby (which we got 10% off food bill). Nice pool with communal areas.

Solo in Negombo 🇱🇰

I am just starting my Sri Lanka adventure and I cannot recommend enough Villa Kapuru. It is a small Villa run by SriLankan and Irish men who take in rescue dogs and cats so they can be treated with love and kindness. The Villa is a short walk to the beach and restaurants and has both a pool and air conditioning, very important in the Sri Lankan heat ☀️ It was quiet for sleeping, had a tasty breakfast and was exceptionally clean! Their partner restaurant is also highly recommended - I had the best chicken curry ever!

This is a small hotel very close to the beach, shops and restaurants which are only a 5min walk or tuk tuk away. Rooms and facilities are good with air conditioning. Lovely Sri Lankan breakfast starts the day and a pool to chill out. We stayed 1 night as it is close to the airport.

I stayed at Villa Kapuru twice, after my arrival to Sri Lanka and on my last day, since it’s close to the airport. A really nice and calm place, nice stuff, comfy room and pool. I’ve chosen the hotel cause of the rescued cats at the property, and wasn’t disappointed, they are really nice and well behaved and a pleasure to be around. Really close to the beach and Main Street with shops and restaurants.

Well run guesthouse good position

Well run guesthouse with helpful staff. Lovely backwater aspect from our room. Watched monitors, kingfishers, loads of birds. Lots of cats, and 2 dogs- all well kept and no trouble. Nice pool to cool off. Good position one street away from shops, restaurants etc. Quiet spot.

Outstanding stay for the price point. Super clean and comfortable room, sufficient breakfast, and lovely animals to welcome you. Staff arranged airport pickup and a driver for our trip to Sigiriya. Thank you! Didn’t get a chance to use the pool but did lounge in the common areas, which was great as the breeze was coming across the canal. This place is quaint and absolutely lovely. Only negative thing is that some light bulbs were burnt out in the common areas and hallway, making it a little difficult to read! Still a 5 star review. Easy to walk to the beach and main road for shopping and eating.

If you're looking to recreate your high-end Western-standard hotel experience, this is not the place. If you want a pleasant, quiet place to stay where everything works, this is for you. No surprises here except a great breakfast. I suggest you get a room facing the pool and the beautiful garden. The beach and many nice bars and restaurants are within an easy walk. This is a great place to stay to make sure you catch your flight from Bandaranaike Airport.

A cat lovers paradise!

I had a really wonderful stay here; great facilities, pool, staff, location and breakfast. It is the perfect place to relax and get over the jet lag when first arriving in Sri Lanka. What made my stay extra special however was all the cats; they are super friendly and cuddly, you can tell that the owners really care for the animals. And the hotel was completely without the odors that one normally might expect when there are many animals around! Best place I stayed at during my first week in Sri Lanka, would book it again in a heartbeat!
