Beacon beach resort is very clean, rooms cleaned everyday, restaurant spotless and good food . The staff was so helpful .Its on the beach, town is about five mins in tuk tuk cheap . would book to stay their again

Value for money hotel

The beacon beach hotel is on the beach so you walk pass the pool and your on the beach. The room was clean every day . Staff always on hand to help . The breakfast was value for money . You can get a tuk tuk into negombo town centre for about two pounds its cheap to eat out and very good.i would go back again

This a great property right on the beach & not far from the airport so perfect for us after our delayed flight arrival at 1am. The beach is quite strewn with rubbish so probably not a great spot for a long stay but the hotel pool & surrounds are very pleasant and the breakfast area on the top floor has magnificent views. The sheets & towels are a bit old & rooms probably need a bit of refreshing but this is by no means a 5 star hotel, So overall very good value for money.

Clean rooms, friendly staff, they couldn’t find our booking for a while. WiFi poor.

We arrived straight from the airport at around 3.30am the hotel was in darkness and completely closed. The street also in complete darkness, no cars, people but lots of dogs everywhere, we love dogs but felt very uncomfortable and not safe. We shouted hello numerous times to see if security or someone was around. We also tried to call but call wasn’t going through. We actually thought we’d been scammed! We waited around for over an hour looking for transport and alternative accommodation. We made one final attempt to get a response by shouting very loudly through a gap in the doorway and finally lights went on and a porter opened the doors, a member of staff eventually came down from bed to check us in, this took around 30 mins and we finally made it to our rooms. The following morning the key snapped in the lock and we left it with reception on return to the hotel no one knew anything about our key and there didn’t appear to be any comms between staff and we spent a further 30 mins waiting to get in our room! You can walk into the beach from the rear of the hotel, we liked listening to the waves but the beach is very dirty full of plastic that has been swept into little pile but then left there! We wouldn’t stay here again.

It was a quiet place and friendly staffs. Room was good seaview and clean. Breakfast was good with top view.
