It was a really nice hotel, friendly staff , the only downside is ( not the hotels fault ) you can definitely hear the people honking their cars all day/ night and it does suck when trying to sleep. Other than that, it’s a great wonderful hotel. The shower is phenomenal and so is the bed

BUYER BEWARE As far as I can tell, this property does not follow the guidelines that it lists on the Expedia website, nor does it work in conjuction with Expedia to create a good travel experience for their patrons. Specifically, they did not follow the details that were laid out in our booking, and they were unresponsive when both I, and Expedia inquired about changing plans due to inclement weather. There is no reason to stay at this particular hotel, as there are many in the Riverwalk district, including another Garden Inn within half a mile, and which can be confusing at booking. I will stay far away from this particular property the next time I travel to Chicago and suggest you do too.

I enjoyed my stay until we went to the indoor pool and the water temp was excellent but to get out of the pool just to freeze poolside was a bit much when they know that's a highlight of a stay. What really kinda ruined my things is even though it was at the end of my stay the housekeeper that came to my room was quite rude. I was trying to speak with her yet all she kept asking if we were checking out? As I stated that we were checking out in a few minutes she just walked away.

The hotel is in a very busy part of River North, so you get a ton of outside noise, but there was also weird humming and internal sounds that added to it. The pillows and bedding were also very old and not comfortable. It's a decent hotel if you're exploring Chicago for a couple of days and are looking for a cheaper option. You definitely get what you pay for.

It's a great place but I had to take a star off because of the noise. The heater makes a very loud noise when it turns on and I can hear everything they're talking about in the room next door, even though I'm a heavy sleeper I couldn't sleep. But the hotel is beautiful, the staff are excellent and the room was super clean.
