Amazing resort in a beautifully stunning country. The staff was by far my favorite part about staying here. All were local Fijians and they were some of the nicest people my now fiance and I have met at a resort. They actually helped me plan popping the big question to my fiance :)

Remote Resort is Outstanding
Posted 30 Jun 2018The staff at Remote Resort were the real highlight of our stay. We have never been so well cared for--anywhere. Despite the "quiet" nature of the resort, there were daily trips and activities available--from snorkeling at Rainbow Reef, waterfall hikes and a water slide on nearby Taveuni Island, or just being dropped off on a remote beach with a couple of lawn chairs and a cooler full of food and beverages. Our best vacation yet!

The Remote Resort was great experience! Some of our likes were:
The friendly staff- they were very accommodating and always so pleasant.
The spacious villa- The villa had plenty of space and we loved the layout including the outside shower. It has no AC however we never felt "hot" due to the wide and breeze from the ocean.
The coconut show as great!
Snorkeling was fun- night snorkeling was very cool
With only 8 villas we never had to wait in line or wait very long for anything.
Some of the dislikes were:
The lack of excursion- The only excursion is really just snorkeling but after doing it two to three times it's not as fun.
Limited menu- I have digestive issues and notified the resort before I arrived but still struggled to find foods that I could eat. I ate off the kids menu most of the time.
The villas- need some paint and minor repairs
The "hideaway" excursion was a waste of time and not enjoyable to us.
No beach- there is nowhere to just swim and lay on the beach and the tide is constantly changing. There should be an onsite pool. The plunge pool is too small.
No TV- wasn't any issue for me but my partner felt a tv would be great in a community area.
The food demo- should really be called "meet the chef" because all he did was poor syrup over a pumpkin treat he made.
Weak wifi connection- you literally just have enough signal to check emails and minor things on social media.
No gift shop- we wanted souvenirs but had to buy them at the airport.

Remote Boutique VIP Experience
Posted 6 Sep 2017 on Orbitz
Pros: Staff
Accommodations
Experiences
Ambiance
Cons: Some of the rooms do not have AC
The food could be better
Needs a bit more development
Location: Taveuni Island
The Rainbow Reef
The Remote Resort offers a remote boutique VIP experience like nothing else in Fiji. Accessible only by boat, you are greeted by some of the friendliest and helpful staff in the south pacific who constantly strive to make your experience special and perfect. They surprise you with starlit dinners on an oceanfront dock or on the beach with a bonfire, they cater to your every need with in room massages and a fully stocked bar, they truly go the extra mile. The newly updated rooms have AC and luxurious dipping pools and the surrounding area is ripe with amazing experience like swimming with manta rays, diving at the Rainbow Reef or exploring nearby Taveuni Island. This experience cannot be beat even by the more expensive mainstream luxury hotels in Fiji. Highly recommended!

A Dream Come True

Pros: Food, location, amenities, staff, etc.
Cons: Some more hiking trail options would be awesome
Location: Snorkeling, paddle-boarding, kayaking, swimming, scuba diving, fishing, hiking, etc.
The Remote Resort was INCREDIBLE! My husband and I just went there for our honeymoon and we are already talking about when we can go back. Not only is the location stunning, but the staff is phenomenal! We felt so taken care of the whole time we were there. The food is also amazing! The only negative from the whole trip was that I gained 5 pounds while there because the food is that good :)

It's all in the name...remote!

Pros: There were only about 8-10 villas on the resort. It was nice and private not like a huge hotel with people and rooms on top of each other.
Cons: Nothing.
Location: There was snorkeling right off the island, kayaking, paddle boarding, excursions to nearby villages, scuba diving spots, etc...
It was a wonderful resort with a helpful and friendly staff and the food was delicious! Right on the water with plenty of activities to do. Our honeymoon was relaxing and adventurous. The best mix of both.
