"The most perfect stay. The staff really do make the resort what it is and made us feel so welcome from the first minute until the last. Perfect location for snorkelling and kayaking. The view from the treetop bure was breathtaking although certain aspects of the room were a little tired and needed updating but this didn’t affect the trip at all. Would happily return to Nanuya."

We travel the world, and we both agree that this property is managed extremely well. You will fall in love with the staff as they all greet you by your first name and make you feel welcomed throughout your entire stay visiting this beautiful beachfront property. "This is a small resort owned and run by Fijian family. It's very authentic, quiet and has beautiful settings. However it's not a "western style type resort." This is kinda like glamping with meals cooked for you. All you do is relax and enjoy the scenery :-) The bures are spacious and built in traditional Fijian style, including bathroom. Simple but practical. Minifridge was an unexpected bonus. We didn't find any insect throughout our 4 night stay. Our neighbours though had a cockroach and some spiders visited them. But that's expected even in higher end places in this tropical environment. Food was delicious and so well presented. They collect rain water which is safe to drink (we were fine but for our kid we treated it with tablets or bought bottled water). Free wifi by the main building. The trip to Blue Lagoon was a highlight. Best snorkelling spot, so many fish! ($40fjd) The trip to the caves is worth doing too. It's about 40 min boat ride one way and it can get bumpy. ($125 fjd) We really enjoyed our stay at Nabua Lodge. We will definitely be back!"

"We enjoyed the island, it was beautiful. The food was good and plentiful but got fed the same things over and over. We knew what to expect from a homestay but we found that there was nothing to do except snorkle without paying for activity fees. So bring lots of cash! We expected to be asked for school donation and we did, but was not ok with being asked for donating to their family directly. We felt that paying for the homestay fee and for the activities was sufficient. But it was uncomfortable to be constantly told how much money they needed (this was just one individual doing this) Most everyone else was lovely. So try it out but be aware. Oh... and there was no kava ceremony or cultural activities unless you request and pay. "

"Great location for relaxing and access to good snorkelling. Friendly welcome with family feel vibe from the helpful staff. Good flexibility around activities on offer. Lovely room presentation on arrival. Nice food and good value for money. Good discount on return travel to the mainland via the 'Seabus'. The only weak aspect was our shower leaked hot water so the shower wasn't running as warm as it should."

"When you book they will tell you that this is not a resort but it is really good. Did not understand why they wrote that to me. You have a huge house just for yourself with amazing garden or beach view. You have a fan mosquito net and some dimmers to make the light less strong in case you want to have it more chill and romantic. The family is very friendly. Clean and tidy. I had flowers in the house when arrived and they made sure we had a great stay. Activities are okay. There is a rock about 50m out of the beach and there is nice snorkelling with corrals."
