the location is perfect, the price fair
Posted 24 Feb 2020 on HotelsThe hotel itself was good, mostly due to the fantastic location right across the Baqueira 1.500 ski lift and pistes. Rooms are small (less than 20 m2), the TV is tiny, and the bathroom is OK. Linens and towels OK. The entire hallway smelled like cigarettes the entire weekend (clearly many people were smoking in their rooms). The spa was fine, nothing spectacular. The pool area was decent, with the exception of the jacuzzi which itself worked fine but the smell of chlorine was just unbearable. The bar/pub was fine, best prices in town for sure. The après-ski area was good and they had food for guests. The service there was pretty bad and not organized at all. There is a ski rental place in property (Cuylas) which I recommend. Also getting the forfeits from the hotel was a good service. The breakfast was bountiful, many carb and protein options, perfect for a day of skiing. They did not spare. Overall the hotel was fine, definitely family friendly, great location near all the good restaurants, bars and slopes. I would recommend improving the service and staff friendliness in general.

Access to Gondola directly accross road.
Hotel Bar and outside terrace with reasonable price considering location.
Great variety of breakfast and dinner buffet.
Friendly staff.

Good value
Posted 25 Mar 2019 on HotelsThe hotel is a little tired round the edges but is clean, functional and has friendly staff. Breakfasts are good with plenty of choice and the location by the ski lift is excellent.
My main issues were with the beds which were far more comfortable without the plastic undersheet, and with the thermostat in the room which did not seem to make the room any cooler even when it was freezing outside. Fortunately, it was possible to open the window.
Overall, the hotel is good value for money. However, it is worth knowing that there is a free public car park within 5 mins walk. The hotel's underground car park is expensive.

Posted 30 Jan 2019 on HotelsWe loved the proximity to the gondola and chair lift from reception, just across the road and up a staircase.
The hotel was very good value for money, and our rate included the breakfast buffet.
Incredibly clean and comfortable, comfy bed, good amount of storage in the room. Lovely view from the window.
Great food served at the bar/dining area, really good value wines and bar snacks.
Breakfast restaurant was also really great, a wide variety of different foods, continental, hots to order, pastries.
We loved the individual ski lockers allocated to each bedroom, to store all of your ski equipment.
Noise from other rooms does travel on the floors, but the hotel do have signs asking for quiet, so you can see they’re being proactive about it.
We would totally choose to stay here again, specifically searching for the Tuc Blanc
