Manowhenua Lodge was a great accommodation with great facilities that made it fun and feel homely. A big part of that was the service from Tracey too! She even lent me some hiking poles for my trek abd was so knowledgeable. This is the only accommodation I'd stay in, in National Park from now on. It was also great socially. 10/10

Great place. Tracy was a lovely host. Welcoming us warmly and arranjing our stay accordingly. Strongly recommended. Clean and tidy. Great kitchen facilities. Well equipped.

Unexpected bonus!
Posted 7 Mar 2024 on HotelsWe arrived and were met by the hosts. Apparently due to practical issues the hostel was closed but rather than cancel us they had put us in a private bungalow...our own bedroom living room kitchen and bathroom... fabulous!!

Tracy and Thomas are friendly and responsible. The bathroom and toilet were clean. The communal kitchen is very well-equipped with everything you need to cook meals just like at home. My kids especially loved the activity room, which is quite spacious and contains a ping pong table, snooker table, and board games that kept them entertained. My family and I really appreciated the hospitality and facilities during our stay.
