The service in the restaurant is great, and the food is great there. It's the reason we decided to book here on this trip. But there was no one to welcome guests at check-in for the bnb; instead, room keys were left outside in envelopes with guests' names. No breakfast at this bnb. Had to call this morning to find out what to do with keys at check-out. Room was beautiful and quiet but not much for hospitality (except in restaurant). There are plenty of other places to stay in Natchez that include a home tour, so we will stay at one of these other places next trip and just return for dinner at the restaurant.

Jonathan, the Manager at the property, went above and beyond for my wife’s birthday stay. When an error happened because of the system between them and Expedia, he made it right! When we return to Natchez, we will definitely stay here again!

I seem to have a basement room! There was no telephone in room for service. Accessibility to room wasn’t good! Parking was awkward. Wouldn’t choose this location again!

Our room was very dark with no natural light. The one window that was there opened onto a passageway wall so provided no light. Bed was lumpy and uncomfortable. Bathroom very small with black mould on the sealant. Only one roll of toilet paper with no spare roll anywhere. Room air conditioning noisy. Room was not serviced . Only the pub was available for food, not the restaurant, though food could be chosen from either menu.

The property was one of the best in Natchez. At one time. The main house was amazing, unfortunately we got a basement unit next to the main house when maybe they openly had five or six units rented on total property. Was safe and a nice place to visit.

The property is beautiful and it was a quaint experience to stay several nights in an antebellum mansion with period decor. However, the only interaction we had was the person behind the counter who checked us in. There was to-go food containers and trash bags in the upstairs hallway. By our second day, it smelled. The trash was left over from a wedding the WEEKEND before (7 days before our checkin)! Our room was not serviced with towels while we were there. There wasn’t water available, except from the tap. No breakfast options, except the restaurant on site. When we checked out, the poor guy didn’t even ask how the stay had been….. Dunleith could add a few little things to make this a sold out destination. 😔

Beautiful historic property with cost equitable to local hotel rooms. Very poor lighting in parking area at night, no visible staff on property except check in area, no replenishment of towels/room cleaning for entire 3-day stay, property open-absolutely not secure as mansion door unlocked at all times, and 2nd floor common space extremely dirty/messy from a wedding held one week prior to our arrival!

I had a reservation through expedia and when we got there the hotel didn't have our reservation. I don't know if it was the hotel or Expedia. But neither of the two fixed my problem. I was 3 hrs away from home and after 2 hrs of dealing with them, I ended up driving back home at midnight because Natchez did not have an available room anywhere at midnight. The place looked nice on the outside and the restaurant seemed busy at 9pm. The manager on call did not bothered to speak with me. He let the front desk clerk deal with me and told him to tell me that I need to contact the third party and deal with them. Which was Expedia, and so my odyssey went on. Neither Expedia or the hotel manager solved my problem. They ruined my anniversary night. I've used Expedia many times. But I'm not sure if I'll be using them long after this.

This reservation was a bday gift from my husband and me to his cousin. The first issue came when she arrived for check in and the two bedroom loft we reserved was not available and they tried putting them (cousin and friend) in a single room with one bed. They ended up with a two room connected space which in the end worked out but it was a hassle to get checked in. My other issue is that Expedia advertises Dunleith as a bed and breakfast. Breakfast was NOT included. The whole check-in debacle and the mixup with the no breakfast at a “bed and breakfast” was a bit disappointing, but I think she enjoyed the trip overall.
