Horrible miscommunication experience. I booked this trip in September, 2023. I had all the confirmation and itinerary. It was paid off. I arrived at the property on December, 25, Christmas Day.
The property was closed and no one was there to help. There was a piece of paper and an emergency phone number hanging on the door. I called and the lady just said: “sorry m’mam I can’t find your reservation”. I texted the phone number with the receipt, the payment and the itinerary. No luck. No one even care to look into our paperwork.
My husband and I were left outside for more than 3 hours trying to figure out what to do.
Praise be to God, that after 3 hours on the phone, Expedia was able to book us in another hotel.
Although I understand it may have been a miscommunication between Expedia and the property, the Sunset Stay did not even offer to help or to accommodate us.
So , if this is your place of choice, make sure you confirm with the property. Otherwise you can end up stranded in a island.
