Very rude staff, almost everyone you talked to was rude or acted like you inconvenienced them which is very disappointing considering the fees you pay to stay here. Not being able to get ice or a cold glass of water after 12 pm is crazy for a resort this expensive. I don’t think the maid properly cleaned the room once and the same dirt was on the floor in the same spot and they left their dirty rags in the room on two separate days. I’ve never had that happen at a nice resort. Overall the food was good but not worth the price at all. The pool food is disgusting. They have signs that say the beach is open at 8 am or the pool is open at 8:30 am but you can’t get towels until staff shows up at 9 am. They also refused to accommodate our early check in for a wedding that spent a lot of money at the hotel and instead lost our luggage. Bahamas is beautiful but I would try a different resort next time. Highly recommend the water park. That was the only highlight of the trip.

Be prepared to spend a lot of money for food the restaurant prices are insanely expensive!!

The SLS staff are very unprofessional and extremely rude. From the very first moment we arrived we have been treated unfairly. The rooms is not the same that was advertised online, the bathroom was very smelly and in the shower, it was green stuff on the walls very disgusting. The manager Carlos Thomas locked me and my boyfriend out of our rooms. When I told the manger I would call the police if I was denied entry again he treating me with violence, I was double change for multiple meals upon on checking out they charged us for meal we paid for already and wouldn’t release my deposit unless I paid for the meal at cafe boule that I paid for already. Its wasn’t my fault for SLS unprofessionalism and lock of clarity. When we got there they want to hold $800 and can’t explain why they needed additional $800 after we pay all the cost and then had to pay 300 when checking in. Uneducated people running this place, rude and unprofessional. Now I understand why it called the pirates kingdom, your descendants of rappers and Murderks.

Overall, i loved the property. I will say that i was expecting a front facing ocean view per the description when i booked at the time and per the picks shown on Expedia. It was a partial ocean view that I had to look out to the left. I definitely recommend more of an accurate depiction stated on the website. But other than that, my room was great! I think the staff that tends to the rooms should know how to operate the ceiling fan and where the controls are, im just saying! Lol. She tried to convince me that the ceiling fan was being controlled by the thermostat becasue it had the word fan on it lol. Needless to say, i found the control on my own. The bed is really comfortable and soft, the selection of restaurants were amazing!! Just be prepared to spend some money and also make sure you have enough on your card to hold $200 per day for food & incidentals while you stay. I will definitely be staying at the SLS only when i come back to the Bahamas! Oh yeah, catching a cab back and forth is going to be at least $25 - $40 from 1 person and $5 per person, to and from for wherever you go, one way!! Might wanna get a rental car for your stay.
