When we arrived at the hotel to check-in, the parking lot was empty and office doors were closed. What a terrible shock with no place to stay. I was with friends and we had (2) rooms booked / confirmed. We learned from the hotel next door that the Red Lion Inn closed a month ago. No one notified us of the room cancellations. My friend immediately contacted Expedia and after several minutes on the phone finally got it resolved - they took our confirmation #'s and switched us to Baymont/Wydham Hotel nearby. I would never recommend the Red Lion Inn to anyone.

In the middle of night, a truck came to the property and collected gavage. Too noisy to rest.

For being under extensive renovation, the hotel was still very clean, the service fine, the room cozy, and the beds VERY comfortable. The walls are thick, so the construction noise didn't disturb us. Will definitely keep this hotel in mind for my next Nashville trip.
