Great location. Nice to be able to spend the hottest hours of the day at the pool side gazing out towards Ma Ganga River. Location good for walking to shops & attractions. Staff helpful upon request. Nice air conditioning & clean white sheets although big stain on one of the pillows. Very high taxes that make the price exceptionally misleading upon booking. Almost 100%! Room had many thick dust & unwiped counter surfaces eg tea box lid, shower glass, cubbies for clothes. Windows & balcony railings also filthy bit that would be hard to keep up with given dust outside. Communal halls & elevator cleanliness also Need a good clean. The skeleton of the place is very nice. Funky furniture & nice ambiance dining on the outdoor upper restaurant patio. Really enjoyed our meal & getting treats from the attached bakery. Overall a nice place to stay. Just expensive given the low standards for cleanliness.

Great Location and Great views

Posted 18 May 2014 on Hotels
The hotel location is just fantastic. Very near Laxman Jhula and overlooking the Ganga. We had rooms in the old building. Housekeeping was poor and the rooms were dirty and also need renovations. If possible insist on rooms in the new wing. The food at the restaurant was strictly OK and also overpriced. It would be better to try the numerous surrounding restaurants.

Perfect views and one of the best in Rishikesh

Posted 6 May 2014
This is a good hotel in Rishikesh. Probably one of the best and we were very pleased with our experience overall. However, they did NOT receive the coupon from Expedia and had no record of our reservation. I don't think this was the hotels fault - something went wrong between Expedia, their local agent and the hotel. So I would suggest double checking with the hotel about your reservation - REGARDLESS of what Expedia sends you as confirmation (I received multiple confirms from Expedia). If you are shown to a less than desirable room (e.g. the first one we were shown to had no windows), argue and request a better room. It will probably be given to you. Both rooms we (eventually) stayed in during our visits were great - with fantastic views of the Ganges and bridge.

Disappointing Hotel

Posted 17 Mar 2014 on Hotels
We checked out early and moved to another hotel. Room was very small, no where to hang clothes, no room for suitcases. Room wasn't clean and the hotel was very noisy. Plus side you could hear the river going past.

Good location and splendid view

Posted 20 Feb 2014 on Hotels
Very comfortable hotel to stay in February 2014 for 2 night. Not expensive and worth paying experience. Stayed there with a friend. My friend's room had an excellent view of Ganga. My room was at the second floor and no views. There was a dog nearby which was barking all night long was annoying. Water glass and hand towel were not provided, though I could managed without having them. Food was so so and not to be mentioned specially. It would be more comfortable if covered access to the restaurant was available and access to the river from the restaurant unit be safer and easier.
