My stay was pretty good. The staff was friendly enough. The inn itself left a bit to be desired. There is no coffee or tea available through the day. And being in wine country, there is no ice available. You are offered ice that the staff can get you from the kitchen until 9:00. The same thing goes for refridgeration of any food. It's just not available unless you get the front desk (who are only available until 9 pm) to get it for you. These details don't make for an inviting stay and really encourage guests to just leave and seek those comforts outside of the inn. Unfortunately for the cost I would expect a bit more. The rooms and grounds were beautiful. The noise, described as a "quirk" got a bit tiresome, however it's to be expected in a 100 year old building. The restaurant and spa were fantastic! The breakfast was a bit tiring, being the same every day. Yogurt, canned fruit and granola. Some fresh fruit, cheddar cheese slices, bread for toast. And a variation of eggs and sausage or a frittata. Again, this isn't bad. I would just expect a bit more for the price. Comparitavely to other hotels and inns, I've seen better.
Overall the stay was pleasant and I was satisfied. For the price I just wouldn't stay again. I would recommend others stay, but maybe only for a night to experience the quaint and beautiful property.
