The property itself is what you see, is what you get...what sets this place apart is the great staff. They go above and beyond for their clients and even though I don't speak Italian they communicated and helped me out a lot. I pretty much got ripped off by the tax

Room change

I did not get the room I ordered, but in all it was good experience. My friend did not make it or it would've been a problem.

The property address seemed to be wrong so was a little hard to find. But once we got there we really enjoyed it. The staff were incredibly accommodating and helped out with transport struggles which was awesome. Only spent one night here but would have liked to stay longer.

Budget Choice

This wasn't one of my favorite places. The room was clean, but there was absolutely no hot water pressure, so no shower. That sucked!

Peaceful for a great price

Posted 2 Aug 2017 on Hotels
Beautiful exterior and a great price. The pool area was gorgeous, but the room itself left a lot to desire. The rooms were very dated with a musty smell, but the price is more than reasonable for such a room. The front desk staff spoke little to no English, but were conversent in French, and extremely accommodating and eager to help. They do not accept credit cards as payment, cash only. The location is much less than ideal, not far from the Lincola train station, but impossible to get around the local area without a vehicle due to none of the roadways having sidewalks. There very few local restaurants, all of which have very late opening hours, and you have to travel a few km up the road to find the nearest tow with stores ad restaurants. There are no atms anywhere in the area.

A hotel advertised close to naples, but not!

Posted 10 Jul 2017
Pros: Nothing..
Cons: Badly needs a bus shuttle service to take their guests to places,to catch a taxi everyday will cost more than the price of your holiday!
Location: As if you are residing in a prison far away from anything, due to its location you can not even go for a walk at nights..wild stray dogs..
Imagined the hotel to be close to naples but turned out to be 60 euros taxi fare away,no shops or anything around its location which meant for someone like me who wouldn't dare to drive in italy,be at their mercy for everything from bottled water to expensive dinners.had to risk life and health to walk in scorching heat to reach a traon station about 25mins away to get to naples and back.would not recommend this hotel at all. Breakfast is a joke, swimming pool is always hired out to other parties or not in use.it wasn't a holiday it was a 5 star jail.

Very dated

Would have been very nice in its day. The location was ideal for site seeing but a lot of the business surrounding the hotel were closed down.

Nice hotel at Licola

Posted 3 Aug 2016
Pros: Everything
Cons: All was perfect
Location: Pozzuoli amphiteatre, temple, Cuma & Baia archeological parks, caves, solfatara vulcano, Rione Terra, Lake Averno, Monte Nuovo, Ischia, Capri, Procida
Hotel was really beautiful, great personnel, very friendly and extremely nice people, always so helpful and extremely kind. Speak good English. Thank you very, very much! Clean rooms, airconditioning (which was even not needed, despite of +31 outside at the daytime), fridge at the room, TV, wifi everywhere, pool. Food is very good - and you can even lunch there with a really great price! The hotel is best to visit when you have a car or scooter or for the excursion buses. Though there is not much nearby within the 1.5 km of the hotel, it is possible to visit nearby places, like Pozzuoli, Cuma, Baia, Solfatara, even the islands (Ischia, Capri, Procida, Naples). Take a bus from Licola station or from the highway, next to the Esso gas station. Buses go to Cuma, Varcaturo, Pozzuoli. Cuma archeological ruins and caves can be reached even by walking - about 3-4 km. I suggest you to take the bus to Pozzuoli and go to see solfatara vulcano, amphitheatre, Serapides temple ruins, then take the Cumana train to Fusaro, to visit Baia archeological park - ruins, go to the excursion of the underwater city of Baia. Baia museum. These last ones are 4 places which can be visited within 2 days withone ticket, price 4 euros only. Rione Terra - Pozzuoli ancient part can be visited on Saturdays and Sundays. From Pozzuoli you can take ferry to visit Ischia, Procida and Capri islands. Circumflegrea goes to Naples. For the bus, train, ferry timetables download the Moovit app from google play.

I enjoyed the fireworks the city had put on. The naval base is close.
