Only 5 years old…?

Yeah, you have a beautiful view onto the Mekhong River and the Laos mountains, but it’s difficult to believe that this hotel is only 5 years old. Its design and choice of building materials make it look more like vintage 1970’s to 1990’s, and it’s condition (especially bathrooms) is already bad. The worst, however, are the mattresses. It might be equally comfortable to sleep on the floor as on the “hard-like-a-brick” bed. Would definitely not stay here again if/when coming to Nakhon Phanom again in the future. There are better hotels at possibly slightly higher rates. In the end, you get what you pay for.

Very nice views and airport pick up

Hotel is really great given that it is located in Nakhon Phanom. It has beautiful views and really lovely rooms. However a lot of damage from water in the showers and no English speaking staff. Breakfast is really really made for locals, dinner dishes are amazing! (Breakfast not a complaint just an observation). My daughter was happy with a fried egg and toast and I hade extra coffee. So just be prepared / patient if you’re not traveling with local speakers! Airport pick up was excellent on time and with a name sign, so that’s really well done.

First of all, none of the staff spoke English. The restaurant sucked, spicy food for Thai people and not good for foreigner unless you like spicy food, so we went to another restaurant for dinner. At the bar, tried to get a drink at 16.00, the bartender didn’t know how to mix drinks, we had to wait for later on the evening. I couldn’t get a glass of wine without buying the whole bottle. In the morning, I asked for a 2-egg omelet, she cooked me one fried egg, she should change job for cleaner. The room was ok, I guess for the price I paid for, when I booked there was only one room left Executive. I will never stay there again.

The Blu Hotel is a nice clean place to stay but you will need transportation to town. Bike rental is on site and scooter rental is easily available at the front desk. The staff is always available to get a taxi for you as well. The staff is great. The rooms have a great view. The rooms feel very new. Room to room noise was minimal. Everything in our room worked perfectly. The bed is comfortable but firm. The only issue we had was that this is one of the nicer hotels in Nakhon Phanom. It seems to be the place where they like to have receptions, company parties, not sure what else. We stayed four nights. LOUD booming music the first night until past 11:00PM. We had been up since 4:00AM the morning before. Two of our other three nights the loud music and karaoke stopped at around 10:00PM. Not a deal breaker but certainly something to consider. In six weeks we’ve stayed in everything from completely basic to five star hotels all around Thailand. For the money the Blu Hotel was the nicest and best value hotel in which we have stayed.

Breakfast need to improve immediately

A few choice for breakfast and the taste not so good,even the hotel fully booked,but the choice of food quite limited Need to improve immediately if compare to CHEAPER range hotel which more variety choices
