Disappointing, not what advertised.

Posted 30 Jun 2024 on Hotels
Disappointed that it was not what was advertised on your website. There was no restaurant or bar as the description stated. When we look for a weekend away those are two of our must have. It was just a B&B which for me was very over priced. The staff were friendly and the rooms were clean.

We only spent two nights here. Room is nice and large, many windows for breezes and a larger bathroom. Bathroom needs a window covering, but nicely set up and the staff/owners/managers are great. Really nice location.

B&B not a hotel

Posted 23 May 2024 on Hotels
Very expensive for a B&B no evening restaurant and even the bar closed at 8:00 pm. People coming and going all night. Used to be so good but won’t be rushing back now.

We are a B&B and not an hotel, therefore we do not offer restaurant or bar. We do keep the bar open while reception is in.We do apologise for people coming and going during the night, but unfortunately we cannot restrict them from entering and leaving our B&B.

The 1 key wonder

Posted 28 Mar 2024 on Hotels
On arrival at the hotel I had to contact a mobile number that was not the correct recognised number. I then called the number of the hotel nearby "West End Hotel". After a couple of minutes I was let into the hotel. I was given the key to Room 6 (1 key). My hotel stay was 2 nights (Sunday / Monday). On the second day and returning to the hotel the front door was locked. I then let myself into the hotel by using my key for room 6 (is this worrying or not). The hotel was not open for business i.e. Bar or Restaurant. Only the rooms were let out. I was informed that the hotel would be open for business after 1st April. Room was clean and shower room (en-suite) was clean. Food at the West End Hotel was nice and reasonably priced. The 1 key access to the hotel and Room 6 leaves a lot to be desired. The hotel must address this issue. On arrival at the hotel on the Sunday the 1 key wasn't an issue as I believe that I was the only occupant of the hotel on Sunday. The hotel had additional rooms let on the Monday.

good morning The key for the room lets you in the room and open the main door for the B&B other wise you would not be able to leave and come back at your chosen time. My apologies if you did not understand that is not a master key, only open the specific room you were in and the main door. Nothing to worry about.
