Checkin was easy. Found two roaches in the room. Bathroom too small and decrepit. People outside all day into the night with boom box sitting on stoop . Place was empty, why would you put us near them .

Great staff! The hotel was clearly updated but it’s old. Rooms are quite small. New sinks with storage space in the bathrooms would make a big difference. Otherwise, enjoyed our stay.

Very clean, directly next door to Owen’s Restaurant (which has brunch) and within walking distance to Sam & Omie’s & Jeanette’s Pier. Check in was simple, however, parking on the ocean side of the motel to check in was tight, parking on the other side where our room was; that was no problem. Rooms have been updated, beds were comfy and the shower had good pressure and water temp. Nice grassy area in the front to let dogs potty without spurs all over.

An older hotel with no thrills, but clean, safe from what I can see. Challenging to find outlets that work to charge your phone, not many lamps inside to use at night. If the a great place to stay for the basics and that’s all we wanted as the plan being at the beach, was to be at the beach! 😊

Property has two parts separated by street. On maps only the part closer to the beach is shown. "Ocean side" means room is on ocean-side or the street, it does not mean ocean-view. Room was very basic but clean. Bed was fine.

I canceled my reservation due to hurricane Helene, I have a home in Steinhatchee fl and Pavo Ga, both in the path of the storm. Both got hit. They kept my money. Said hurricane Helene did not affect North Carolina. Well, that didn’t age well. So F. U. How did that work out for you?

The beach access is difficult to navigate. If you are elderly or have a disability, you would need to walk down from the motel and select another access point. We had difficulty sleeping due to people slamming their room doors. The door to our room was hard to open and close so I can understand why people felt the need to slam them. Our room was clean. The toilet was a little on the moldy side. The staff was very friendly upon check in which was an easy process.

Looks like the hotel had been recently renovated. Rooms were very nice. Bed was very comfortable. Quite even though room was closest to the street. That could have been become of the time of year we were there. Bathroom was small but we were able to use it. Would definitely stay again if we were in the area.
