First ryokan, did not disappoint!
Posted 15 Oct 2024 on HotelsI'd never stayed in a ryokan before, but have always heard what it was like. I can confidently say, after being in this one, that ryokans are an exceptional place to relax. The traditional rooms are spacious, has a great views, and sleeping in a futon on tatami is a classic for a reason!
The amenities are very nice too, with two whole building's worth of stuff! A public bath, karaoke, arcade, bowling, an izakaya, etc. Probably the only thing I would like is wifi in the room (it's only otherwise found in the lobby).
But other than that, a wonderful experience I am glad to have had!

The actual condition of the hotel is quite different from the photos shown online. The guestroom itself was acceptable but showing its age. The ceiling was peeling (fake woodgrain paper). The only Wi-fi service available is in the lobby which smells strongly of cigarette smoke. The hot-spring baths were nice and the food was good. They did accommodate my vegetarian needs.

浴衣サービスやお部屋の広さ、お茶菓子のサービス、スタッフの親切さは満点でした。
館内にボーリング、卓球場もあり、貸切露天風呂も利用させていただきました。高級な旅館が立ち並んで古びた感はありますが、お値段が安かったし、気持ちよく利用させて頂きました。
