El hotel esta en buen lugar, el servicio bien, buena atención, pero el cuarto tenia algunos problemas, como la puerta, la ducha, tenia que pedir en la recepción lo que ocupaba, al sofa cama se le sentia un fierro en medio...

After booking on 8/12 at 1:56 pm I called to see if we needed to do anything else and the staff member that answered was very rude and really wouldn’t explain the 150 extra fee that she said we had to pay upon arrival. I wanted to cancel our trip with them after this interaction but unfortunately it was non refundable. Now upon arrival the staff working on 8/27 around 1-2pm was extremely welcoming and very nice they explained everything to us! They even let us check in early as well! Now unfortunately when we got to our room we noticed that there was mold on the ceiling and the balcony door handle was broken. I took pictures of this because I did not want to be charged for damages as it states on the brochure they give you. The area outside in the hallway before our room door was also very soaked. Before booking you should know if you want to use the swim up bar you might want to make sure there is a lifeguard on duty the time of your booking. Our whole stay we did not get to use the swim up bar due to being told that there was no lifeguard on duty. Now what we did like about the hotel was that if you did not have a key card you could not enter the building but unfortunately the parking garage gate was left open all day and was accessible for all. Area around: A few blocks down there is an amazing shop that has extremely good deals we got hoodies buy 1 get 2 free. A few more blocks is Friendlys best place to eat! Right beside Friendlys is an amusement park great for kids!

There is NO 150 extra fee. We require a security deposit, as many hotels do, for any damage that may occur in the room due to negligence. This security deposit is FULLY REFUNDABLE, as long as there are no damages to the room. The security deposit is fully disclosed on all of Expedia's and our websites. Plus you get an email that discloses it. Finally, we have it posted on the counter at check in. We do struggle getting a certified life guard required by the Horry County agency in charge of pools. We do apologize for not having one here for you to enjoy the swim up bar.

They are in the process of upgrading some items but you can tell it's a hotel from the 70's/80's that used to allow smoking. The pool that they rave about was very dirty and showing it's age. Coming from Florida it was basically what I expected for a beachside economy resort.

The property could be nice if it were thoroughly cleaned and updated. Elevators sketchy.

My girlfriend and I had a lovely time at Hotel Blue over the labor day weekend. We knew the area isn’t the best and the buildings are old so if you’re looking for excellence, stay at the more expensive places.
Then swim up bar was our favorite thing, drinks were cheap and tasty! Walking distance to the shore

The property is great however it’s becoming very kid friendly as well as needing some updates around the pool. The amenities are outdated.
