Lovely property in a lovely spot. Unfortunately we’d had no communication on how to check in so had a frustrating 30mins outside in the rain

Comfortable very clean house. Everything available for our stay. Only comment I could suggest is a grab rail by the toilet for older guests.

This is a nice shack in a tranquil spot but we were so disappointed by the misleading photos. Be aware some photos are from another property (see below). It is correctly listed as a small 3 bedroom property, it does not have 4 nice twin beds. There is a double bed, 2 single beds and the 2 single bunks in a tiny (not very nice) room. There is 1 lounge/TV area, not 2 as per pictures. We booked with our family of 7, there is bedding for 8 but only 3 bedrooms so son had to sleep on fold out bed in lounge room (would not have booked if realised). It is far but nice to go down Port Arthur way, Tasmanian Devil Unzoo etc. Overall pretty clean and has things needed but just a basic small 3 bedroom shack, was expensive for our family when we realised how small it was. Hammock on deck is nice. Rooms in pictures but totally not at this property: Pic 4 (bunks with a DB mattress and SB mattress) Pic 6 (sea doona bed) Pic 10 (long room with bunks at end & round table) Pic 11 (with lounges/sea pics on walls) Pic 14 (2nd bathroom)

I'm so sorry, I've just logged on and noticed that there were 3 or 4 photos of the wrong property on this site. We had an independent web worker set us up on Expedia and he had accidently added those pics. Sommers Bay Beach House has 3 bedrooms. Bedroom 1, has a queen bed. Bedroom 2, has a pair of single beds. Bedroom 3 has a set of single bunk beds in a small room which is 3.5m x 2.1 m. The other two bedrooms are roomy at 3.6m x 3.6m, I have just deleted the incorrect photos now. All the current photos are now correct. Sincere apologies, Michael

Nice and quiet place. Comfortable enough. The third room was really small and not really comfortable. My son had to move out and sleep on the couch due to heaps of millipedes but they were everywhere. Not sure if that's just the conditions. The water is not swimmable so don't be mislead. A long way from anything but still heaps to do and look at in the surrounding area. The corner store is pretty good and has got most things. We were there during the virus and things were very different so it's hard to really judge. Be prepared to do lots of driving.

Lovely little property. The only thing we were disappointed with was that lots of people commented in the guest book about the wild animals that come out at night but we never saw any!!

Thanks very much, yes normally there are 4 or 5 pademelons and a couple of kangaroos on the front lawn which we love as it saves us mowing the lawns lol! Normally they're there just on dusk as they're nocturnal animals :)
