Affordable hotel with good size of apartment

Very clean place
Kitchen has microwave, stove, dishwasher
,small pots, frying pan, cutlery and enough dishes for two people.
Kitchen was very clean with dishwashing soap, New sponge and dishwashing cloth, also there were garbage bags and dishwashing tablets.
Received top notch service from young guy Robin (sorry if I have forgotten his name)who was able to communicate in English. Overall, hotel staff is nice and helpful. Train station is only three minutes of walk. S8 takes your directly to the main train station and MarienplartzThere is a grocery store in the 10 minutes of walk which closes at 8:00 pm except Sunday.
There is a direct train S8 to the Munich International airport which takes an hour and costs around 13 Euro per person.
Cons:
Most staff were not able to understand the English. They don’t answer the phone, you have to call many times. There is barely a staff member at the reception in he evening.
Apartment has a terrible smell when we entered. We have to open the windows plus I used my $50 worth perfume to get rid of the smell. I went to the reception to complain but no one was there. Shower door was closed, therefore, there was a terrible smell. I mentioned to Robin next day, hee came but the smell was gone as I used my whole perfume. My suggestion will be to leave the windows and shower door open before the arrival of the guest.
Hardwood floor really needs attention.
In short, I will still highly recommend this hotel as it's very clean overall

Great for a weekend stay. Friendly staff. Easy link to Mumich Central station by train. Gave cleanliness 3 stars because of dust in some areas of my room. Apart from that, it was good

Dirty room & no pillows = big disappointment
Posted 21 Jun 2023 on HotelsThe Coffee Fellows Hotel seems like a great option on paper, but we really had a disappointing experience.
1. The room was dirty: floors had a layer of dirt that turned out socks brown when we walked around. The bedding on the pull-out sofa was used AND they didn’t provide bedding for it. The response to the dirty floors, slippers. The front desk gave us two pairs of slippers for seven people staying in the large apartment room instead of having housekeeping attend to it.
2. The first night we noticed that there were not enough pillows. I went down to the front desk, because there isn’t a phone in the room to call the front desk. The person at the desk said they don’t have any pillows. My response was, my father in law will be down in a few minutes with his opinion if I don’t return with pillows for him. All of a sudden he found one for me. I asked for four pillows and got one. He blamed it on a staffing issue. He then told me that housekeeping would come up the very next day and make everything perfect in our room and how sorry he was for this. The next day when we returned back from our day out, nobody had been in our room and we still didn’t have enough pillows. I went straight to the front desk again. The same man was there and told me: no, housekeeping comes once every five days.
3. The room ran out of body wash, I walked back down for that. They did not have any, but I was handed liquid hand soap and was told, it’s basically the same.
