"Beautiful setting in a limestone gorge with a river flowing through it. Better than a white noise machine! There are hiking and mountaineering trails in the immediate vicinity. As a vegan, I appreciated that they included both a vegan and vegetarian option on the dinner menu. The thermal pools and the baths (balneario) were lovely. Donโ€™t forget your bathing cap! "

"This out of the way Parador is perfect if you want a quiet stay with stunning views. It's an older property and some of the fixtures/fittings in the bathroom are tired but on the plus side - shower pressure was good and everything was very clean and we had a great nights sleep. The resturant served tasty local food - very nicely prepared and presented. The staff were attentive and friendly - we would visit again if in the area."

"Stopped for two nights with my husband on a motorbike trip to the Picos. We loved staying here. We had a beautiful balcony view looking out on to farm land and mountains and could hear the birds singing. So tranquil. Loved all the geranium window boxes. So pretty. "A fabulous little place, on our way back to the ferry at Santander, but in a remote corner of northern Spain. Around 15 miles off the beaten track and surrounded by gorgeous countryside but only 1.5 hours from the port. We received a warm welcome from our hostess, Karmah, who looked after our every need, supplying local information, as well as cooking us a splendid evening meal. Highly recommend to anyone visiting northern Spain. A proper little rural gem."
