The Mount Pleasant Winery is an exquisite 19th-century wine estate offering informative tours of its grounds and historic buildings. The vineyard provides a fascinating glimpse of wine traditions, with a preserved oven house and hand-dug cellars from the 1800s. Listen to a docent to learn about the wine-making process and the award-winning wines and grape varieties of Mount Pleasant.
Embark on a free guided tour on the weekend in summer or organize a private tour for your family. Try one of the activities that are part of the Branson Experience, including Wine 101 classes and workshops teaching you how to bottle your own wine. The private tastings take place in an intimate setting and provide guests with six different wines.
Relax and enjoy the view from the cozy setting of the Appellation Café. Here, you can enjoy a meal against a scenic backdrop of the Missouri River Valley. Attend a private event in the winery, which is a popular spot for weddings and other ceremonies.
Check out the winery’s shop and choose from the range of bottles, many of which you may have tried during a tour and tasting. The store displays a great range of its own red and white wines, both sweet and dry. Bring a bottle to a picnic at the shelter of nearby Moonshine Beach.
Note that the estate opens daily year-round from late morning until late afternoon. Hours are a little shorter in winter, while the café opens in summer only, Thursday through Monday. There is a fee for any of the tasting sessions.
The Mount Pleasant Winery is just south of the Branson Theater District. Drive southwest from downtown Branson for 4 miles (6 kilometers) to reach the estate in about 10 minutes. Look around the surrounding area to see nearby sights such as the Titanic Museum, the Hollywood Wax Museum and the World’s Largest Toy Museum Complex.
