Traditional and comfy

Posted 4 Dec 2019 on Hotels
Traditional rustic standalone house, tatami style with modern trappings. A few other units in the property. Hosts are amazing and sweet, family-run business with a homely feel. They try their best to make the stay comfortable. A lot of space for the kids to run around. We booked a pit and bought pre-packed meat for easy outdoor bbq. I think taller guests would find house difficult to move around because of the beams but no problem for us.

Our family of 8 had a great time at the old house. If you want to spend some quality time with family or friends over bbq, this is a perfect place for it.

Big space and clean!

Posted 14 Oct 2016 on Hotels
We got 4 adults and 2 children to stay at Seven Village Motobu and the room space is big enough for us and everything is clean. The owner is very friendly and can communicate in English. One thing need to be improved is the WiFi since we are unable to connect successfully to the WiFi during thr night till the time we sleep.

Good for large group

Posted 28 Jul 2015 on Hotels
We booked this because it was a long weekend in japan and we couldn't find other places. The house was meant to cater for a much larger group (4 to 8 pax) and it was too large for us - so if you go as a large group the price is a hood bargain. It was a bit remote as we had to drive a bit uphill but that also comes with tranquility. Not many restaurants nearby but if you like barbecue they do have the stove inside the house so i reckon it's a good place for family / friends gathering.

Familial stay off the tourist track

Posted 31 Mar 2015
Pros: It's size, location and garden for children to play in.
Cons: A door/cover between the hallway and entrance to keep out the draft of the front door. Also, better/more heaters and for families- a BATH please.
Location: You can go the beach and drive to Sessoko Island. Nearby is Nago Pineapple park and Churaumi Aquarium; about 20 minutes away by car.
Overall very good for families with the garden, space and natural setting. However no bath, especially with 3 young children in the non-summer season was extremely disappointing (especially for Japanese children who are used to it nightly; other foreign families may not be at all bothered). Many good facilities and amenities with useful and practical information on places to eat and shop, in English and in Japanese. One very disappointing point was to be woken by my wife at 4am because a poisonous Japanese centipede (mukade) had crawlen over her arms and stomach and gotten into her undershirt - of course these are common in Japan but in your bed in probably less common. We stayed at the end of March, which was still a little cool despite the heater; a door or extra cover near the entrance would have been nice.
