Lodge was nice. It’s older but they are doing their very best to maintain. Gardens and trees were mature. Pretty! Monkeys were fun to watch as they played and clambered through the trees. Food was good but limited options. Breakfast that was included was really good! Staff were kind and helpful. Shop was small, some souvenirs. Rooms were clean, some tiny and some much bigger even though we paid same rate 2 different stays (before and after our Kili climb). It met our needs for sure of a quiet place to rest before and after our climb.

Great place to get ready to hike Kili or go on a safari. Not 5 star but pretty nice - decent food, great service and ready to please. Good wifi and hot water! Lots of people going coming from Kili!

The garden area felt like a little slice of paradise with bunnies running around freely helping to maintain the grass - as well as donkeys. Monkeys were climbing in the trees, and occasionally a large turtle would cross the lawn. The place itself was very calming and the staff sweet and helpful.

Very friendly staff. The room and sheets were pleasantly clean.
Buffet breakfast had several options, mainly English breakfast style. I especially enjoyed their yogurt cups and fresh fruit. The avocado sandwich is also tasty. The availability of the buffet seems to depend on the number of guests present at the hotel but you can also choose from their breakfast menu.
They also have lunch and dinner menus.
There are day trip tours that the receptionist(s) is happy to assist you with organising. During my brief stay, I chose to visit Tarangire. Very beautiful place however, the tour was rushed to fit viewing as many animals as possible into approx. 6 hours. So I'd advise asking to extend the trip and spend the night at a hotel near the safari location instead.
Regretted choosing a double bed because the joint down the centre is definitely uncomfortable.
Apparently you can view Mt. Kilimanjaro from the rooftop of the facility however, it always seemed cloudy so I never had the opportunity to marvel from this location.
Unfortunately, I didn't jump into the pool however, I did lounge poolside to catch some warmth for the day as it gets a bit chilly at night.
Generally, it's a great spot for relaxation and escape from city life and thankfully there's WIFI available in most parts of the hotel so you can send and receive emails comfortably (don't expect high speeds for proper streaming of videos, etc.).

Lovely, serene location in a small forest next to a stream on the lower slopes of Kilimanjaro. Very good attention and service.

Well appointed hotel in the Moshi area, with great restaurant and outdoor facilities (pool, patio, etc.). Staff was very quick to tend to guest needs, which was greatly appreciated. The location is relatively remote, which is fine for relaxation. My only concern was there seemed to be many issues with the room locks and keys, had to change my room due to malfunctions.

The hotel property includes lush tropical gardens with a very nice pool set amongst them. The restaurant overlooks the gardens and it appears most if not all of the rooms do as well. The pool and gardens create a lovely space to chill and relax.
The food and drinks at the restaurant are good and reasonably priced. The staff are friendly, helpful, and attentive.
Our room was a little on the small size. Although a bit cramped with a king bed, the space was manageable. However both the carpet and mattress had seen better days and the in-room safe did not work, likely needing batteries. This was not a problem for us and we did not report it.
The major complaint we have is the lack of adequate mosquito prevention. The rooms lack screens on the windows. Although mosquito nets are provided when requested, the one they gave us did not fit the bed and the hook holding it to the ceiling came out when we tried to stretch the net to cover the bed. There is insect killer spray provided in the room with the expectation that you close all the windows, spray the room thoroughly and leave for ten minutes while it does its job. However there was no instruction stating this and this solution leaves you a chemical laden room with no fresh air with mid twenties temperature during our stay. So I was left with ten mosquito bites across my back when I awoke in the morning.
If the mosquito issue was solved or you are comfortable with the chemical solution, the hotel is good value and a nicely re
