First time using P&V in Avoriaz - really happy with the space we had. Staff were helpful. Good value considering what we paid.

We had a fantastic stay, brilliant ski in and out, lockers, fresh bakery products delivered every day. Basic room but everything you need, excellent value. Fantastic resort! Staff very friendly and helpful, couldn't fault it. We will definitely be back!

Stunning views

Posted 29 Dec 2017
Pros: Views, room, balcony.
Cons: The reception opening times could have been longer.
Location: The hotel may seem to be detached from the shops and restaurants etc. You are only two public lifts away from all the excitement.
It was a good hotel room with a stunning view of the resort. Getting to it was a challenge, although we did not adhere to the shuttle bus which is also provided by the hotel. We decided to make our own way to explore the resort. The appliances were of good quality. We had a sofa bed and a bunk bed. We did not use the bunk bed, the sofa bed was more like a bed sofa. the bed within it was more comfortable than the sofa. The room overlooks the resort with a birds eye view of the entire resort. That was priceless, you would not get those views from any other hotel. The reception opening times must be a little bit more flexible is the only issue we faced. After a tiring journey from the UK and being new at a ski resort

Decent stay in Avoriaz

Posted 10 Jan 2016 on Hotels
The room was okay for what it was, but very small for a supposed family apartment. The only bedroom was barely big enough for the double bed and had to be pushed against the wall for the door to open. The other sleeping areas were also the seating area for the t.v. The location was great and had access to snowboarding or skiing down to the lifts. It was nice to have dishes in the room and a small stovetop and microwave. Check-in times for this hotel were not great so make sure you know that when booking it. Evening checking is only from 5-7 p.m. even though Hotels.com said it was until 8. We were able to call an emergency number where we got a code to access the safe with our keys in it. Avoriaz is a great location for a winter vacation, but this was definitely not the best hotel there.

Easiest accommodation to ski back to.

Posted 15 Apr 2014
Second time we have stayed here. You really get what you pay for- we were 10 friends in 2 six bed apartments who don't mind a bit of a squeeze. If you want some space then maximum of 4 in the 6 bed apartment. The double bed, the bunks and the sofa beds are all comfortable. At the end of 4 hard days skiing, none of us had any difficulty getting to sleep! It includes towels and clean linen, basic cleaning equipment and 1 toilet roll (so you need more!) They are basic but again for the price, what can you expect. They are the highest accommodation of the resort so very easy to ski/board back to at the end of the day, drop your kit off and a 5 minute walk to the pubs. You have to be fit for the walk but the escalators make the walk OK. The reception tends to be closed a lot- we had to phone to get the code to get our key. When reception is open the staff are friendly and helpful and speak good English. We love the skiing in Avoriaz - it is high so gets some great snow until the start of April. Great resort for families too. We will definitely stay here when we go back.

Pros: good value, well located
Cons: poor maintenence
Location: well located
OK if you dont go by the official appartment capacity, our room for 6/7 was ok for 3 or 4, but no more, however the value is OK.

Uncomfortable is an understatement

Posted 7 Mar 2011
The bedroom was a tiny airless box, the bed a hard foam mattress, hard up against one wall. It was an unbearably uncomfortable and i was exhausted by the lack of sleep at the end of our 7 day stay. The apartment itself, although clean, was seriously basic...there wasn't even a toilet roll! I've stayed in self-catering apartments whilst skiing before and they've all been substantially better than the Maeva residence. I perhaps could have overlooked a number things, however, the cost per night was substantial, even at peak rate standards and to be charged extra to 'rent' a towel is quite frankly disgusting. If you like your ski holidays expensive, basic and uncomfortable, the Maeve Residence is for you!!

No wifi im Zimmer und im Balkon keine Tische und Stühle - Stühle haben wir dann erhalten und den Tisch haben wir von innen genommen - ansonsten war alles tipp topp
