I always appreciate a single story motel because it means I don't have to lug my bags up a flight of stairs. Check-in was prompt and parking was convenient and close to my room (a little tight though). The bed was okay, but the pillows seemed like they were due to be replaced. I liked that the bathroom had dispensers for the soap and shampoo, but the water pressure was on the low side. Consider putting a digital alarm clock in the room so people can see what time it is when they wake up in the middle of the night. It was quiet for the most part, except for the people in the room next to me, but I don't think I can pin that on the motel. I travel mostly to do nature photography and am usually looking for no frills places to sleep and recharge all my equipment -the room had lots of outlets and USB ports, which is a plus. I would stay here again.

Posted 5 Oct 2024 on HotelsNot good. There’s no surface to place things. Shower had one temperature only, with the head wobbling. Bath so cramped, that I had got a Charley horse from the sink edge on the way to the toilet. The skunkweed smell was awful. They shouldn’t say pet friendly when upcharges are every pet, every day. We forfeited the second day charges and got out of there, and found another hotel elsewhere.

The Holland Inn is a nice low-budget motel. Clean and quiet. No frills.

Did not feel comfortable in the area where hotel was located. Some sketchy people staying at motel while we were there. Interior of room was Ok and bed was horrible. It was way too soft. The property was ok. They allow animals but nowhere for them to do their thing.

Posted 9 Sep 2024 on HotelsThe non-smoking room reeked of stale cigarette smoke, the bed was basically a pullout couch, the neighborhood is very sketchy… the amount charged was insane for the crappy motel-esque property and simply awful conditions. I would remove this place from your website. Absolutely the worst place I’ve stayed at.

This is run by a very nice family. Everything is clean and recently refurbished. The exterior and interior walls are all freshly painted, crown molding was installed, and all the flooring is brand new, too. There's Dish TV and a quality wifi system. They've done a commendable job updating this old motel on a modest budget. Our two room suite was on the cozy side. Our room rate was lower than most other local alternatives, so it's an acceptable trade off.
I didn't like the beds, my wife and kids said they were fine. I would suggest to the owners to add door mats; we tracked a lot of beach sand into the room. There is a mini fridge, microwave, and coffee machine. The check in office has an ice machine, but there is notably no water cooler. Bottled water and sodas are available for a modest fee.
Morro Bay isn't very large, so even from the edge of town, it's just 5 minutes drive to the embarcadero and even less than that to get to Morrow Strands. The former is great for walking and shopping. The latter is gorgeous and spacious. Day use parking at MS is free.
There are a few nicely rated restaurants nearby. I would recommend driving to them; Main street has poor visibillity at night, lots of people driving above the speed limit, and it's hard for drivers to see pedestrians.

This was a last minute booking for a Labor Day weekend stay for my family. We had booked another hotel, but were told that the dates we selected were wrong and our room was no longer available nor did they have any vacancies.
Luckily we found Holland Inn & Suites. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The views from the inn were incredible and beautiful! Our suite was remarkably clean.
