a little gem close to Dresden

Once we arrived we found it in a very quiet corner off the main road with a garden in front of our window. The owners (brother & sister) were very kind and helpful, even cooked sunny eggs for our breakfast!

A gem hidden out of plain sight: the Sonnenhof in Reichenberg might not be an obvious first choice for Dresden visitors.
However, travelers who are not just interested in Zwinger and Frauenkirche and who prefer a rather intimate place to stay: don’t look further. You will find a family run pension with great dedicated service and excellent breakfast that is located right in the middle of everything.
The attractions of Dresden are a short drive so is the unique chateau of Moritzburg with its horse stables and vast lakes. If you prefer public transport: the bus stop is a 5-minute walk away. The famous town of Meissen is equally easy to reach as are many other places of interest. The rooms are modern and tasteful, parking is easy and if you have an electric vehicle, you even find a charging station. Highly recommended.

Where do I start? The hotel is WONDERFUL! We stayed due to its location; close to Dresden and Moritzburg. Upon arriving, we were met by Stefan, the managet, and he was extremely kind and provided a fantastic overview of hotel and area. Room was outstanding, with plenty of space, very clean and wonderful garden view with balcony. Breakfast was very good European style with Stefan making eggs to your liking. Parking on site with no hassles! Highly recommend and we intend to return!
