Where to start....this is definitely a boutique hotel with limited rooms and interesting decor. Overall its beautifully decorated, but there was no separation for the bathroom or shower area. Not to mention there was a living wall IN the shower. It made it very difficult to take a shower. The whole hotel is built on raised floors which makes me wonder how creatures dont get in the rooms. The kitchen area is outside of the room which is unsanitary with stray cats and other animals around. This includes cups, dishes, utensils, microwave. There was also a language barrier with the employees which will make things difficult if you dont speak French. If you needed something it was hard to get help because either no one was around they didn't understand. There seemed to be a lack of customer service and willingness to help. Not to mention only certain employees could do certain duties which didnt help if you needed to check out, buy something, or ask for something. They only serve breakfast daily and you have to fill out what time you want it delivered the night before, but the time didnt seem to matter because it was delivered whenever it was ready. You will also need to rent a car or get a taxi everywhere you go since there are limited options nearby for food.

I don't want to be hurtful but your comment really doesn't make any sense..You were in an atypical hotel and everything you "stupidly" criticize is precisely what makes it special and it's everything our guests love... just read the comments before yours...If you don't like nature, art or originality, why did you choose our hotel? The shower integrated into a green wall is a decorative choice....In addition to being magnificent, it's ecological and it also purifies the air...It should be noted that my first job is an architect designer and that our hotel is ecological. The suite you occupied is a pure marvel...You didn't understand anything about its design but remembering you, I'm not surprised. As for the "false problem" that reproaches us that each person in the hotel has a specific function, it is like that everywhere...As for the so-called language barrier, there are people in the hotel who are perfectly bilingual. And in any case, the first language of this hotel is universal, it is that of love...To conclude, I will say that we offer dreams and magic, not the soul that goes with it...

Simply a terrific boutique hotel.
Fantastic location on the edge of the water. Easy access to snorkeling, kayaking, etc.
Wonderful rooms and common areas. Designed by the courteous and helpful owner… Who is a fantastic artist and interior designer. Terrific mix of simplicity, utility, and sophistication. We will be back!

Our stay was very enjoyable. I loved the eclectic vibes of this place. Having our morning breakfast brought to our patio was a great start to the day. We were also able to use the kayaks to paddle out to the motu which was a great experience. I would recommend staying at Hôtel Fenua Mata'i'oa

This place was fantastic. We arrived very early before check in but the receptionist checked us in and made it very easy for us. We were allowed the run of the place until our room was ready. We received a beautiful fresh flower lei and a very tasty welcome drink. There are many different common rooms to relax in and feel very private. Our room was absolutely beautiful and just like the pictures portrayed online. We had our own private deck which was great to sit out on and watch the fish and the waves crashing on the reef. It was a very peaceful, calm and quiet stay which we needed after a long cruise. Everyone there made us feel special including Eileen, Anaise especially. Also the young man who helped with our very heavy luggage. I would return to this place again if/when we ever come back. We fell in love with this beautiful place.

The owner Eleen has created the most relaxing, zen, amazing place. Much to see and appreciate as she was a designer in her earlier years. It will sink into you as you spend time exploring this very special place. Not known for it's food-(no restaurant onsite), busy bar etc.-but SPECIAL
And the beds are amazing!!!!
Breakfast delivered to your room-wonderful staff
Off the beaten path-great ocean view cafe 3 minutes walk
This is the place if you truly want to relax and unwind.

Well, I can honestly say that this is the best hotel I have ever stayed in. It is so beautiful and has so many lovely touches, everywhere you look there is something interesting. Eileen is an absolute delight and all the staff are friendly and enthusiastic. It is the mist extraordinary hotel and we really loved every minute of our time there. If we were to return to French Polynesia I wouldn’t even think about looking anywhere else. I hope so much that we get to return soon. Thank you so much for sharing your hotel with us Eileen.

What a unique and eclectic property! Very tropical feeling and they have tons of lounge chairs and couches everywhere to chill. They have a super friendly kitty who visited often and I fell in love with. The negatives were the main receptionist spoke almost zero English, and they were doing construction right next to our suite- I complained but it continued on and off. Although we were out and about most days, one afternoon we wanted to chill within the outdoor area of our suite, but it was too noisy. I complained but all they conveyed (in French) was “20 more minutes” which turned out to be over an hour. At least they could’ve offered a free breakfast or bottle of wine to compensate. Ah well…we still enjoyed it there. If you’re looking for a more resort experience with pools and restaurants, this isn’t the place. But if you want a quiet (sans construction) and chill experience, this is a nice place.

Thank you for taking the time to comment.I am sorry for the work but we did our best to not make any noise when you were in your suite or on your terrace. As for the little gift, I would like to point out that you took a bottle of white wine from your mini-bar and that you did not pay for it.I also left you a message on the reservation site. This will be our little gift...As for my English, it is certainly not perfect but I understood everything you wanted to tell me and I was able to answer you in English... even approximate...Thank you again for choosing our hotel for your stay in Moorea. It was a real pleasure to meet you.

The hotel was very comfortable, unusual and eclectic in a jungle like setting. Each lodging had a kitchenette and eating area. There were several living rooms in the hotel with original decorations. A pick up service was available to eat at a good nearby restaurant. The owner was charming and helpful. I would recommend this hotel.
