I’ve never had a bad Marriott experience and this stay just confirms that I will always choose Marriott over other hotels.

Make sure you're not put in a handicapped-accessible room unless you need it! We were, w/o need or request, and this is a massive hotel (so I'm sure it was not b/c they were so full). The bed was very low, there was no vanity in the bathroom, just a small table, and there was no fridge in the cabinet where it should have been. I requested one, was told it would be there soon (though "there's a language barrier w/ housekeeping") and a guy arrived with an industrial fan. He returned w/ a small fridge, when I showed him what was needed, and he returned with a fridge that didn't fit in the cabinet. So, we had that ugly box sitting on the floor outside the cabinet! I requested a room change but was assured that it would be handled.
The room was "Spartan." Not one decorative item on the walls, and all grays (with a burnt-orange chair, fortunately). I think it's just been remodeled...tho the fridge cabinet is too small for a small fridge!
Cocktail lounge was incredibly noisy, so we went to the back dining room...just as raucous, so we chose to eat in the bar. The food was great!
Unfortunately, the room was not.

We received a room that was designed for handicap access. Most of the the time I don't care but this room was just too much. I was only there for 2 nights (ended up staying one night) so I didn't complain. The hotel was busy that weekend with multiple weddings so I let it be.

The receptionist was very nice and professional. I asked her to change my room for me, she did it without hesitation and quick. Changing the room was just a preference for me, because I like to be in a higher floor than the 1st floor. Overall it was a great experience.
