Very nice
Posted 26 Sep 2019 on HotelsThey were able to accommodate us last minute and got apartment ready while we had dinner. We only planned to stay one night, but were so happy with apartment was able to extend our stay another night while visiting the neighboring national parks. The bed is one of the most comfortable I've ever slept in. Place was clean, comfortable and plenty of space. Certainly met our needs.

The home was cute but the mattresses need to be replaced. Loved having a full kitchen because I love to cook!

It was a nice stay but a very small house
The history of the home makes it interesting and quaint so we did enjoy our stay

it was not sold as a home - if i wanted a home i would have gone to AirBnB. this is the last time i will buy with orbitz. this is false advertising.

Wow, I am so sorry that Orbitz didn't represent this as a vacation home. All of our properties are vacation homes or cabins in the trees, beautiful! Were you looking for a hotel?

While tiny and a bit rustic, this is a charming place and we were glad to come back "home ", so to spesk, at the end of the day. The instructions were clear and we would recommend it.

Loved the hot tub. Much better pricing than staying in Moab too.

This unit gives a new definition to the concept "cozy." It is a converted storage shed between two houses in a residential area of Blanding. The room is so small there is no room for a table or chairs, so the only place to sit and eat is on the deck, which faces the front yard of the property. When it rains, and it did, the only place left in the unit to sit and eat is on the bed. The unit is so small the bath is 3/4, with a shower stall and toilet. When seated on the toilet, leaning forward results in one's head being in the shower stall, which is an inconvenience for a tall person such as myself. I can imagine this unit would work for short people who eat exclusively at restaurants during inclement weather. But, that didn't work for me because I cannot eat gluten, and there are no gluten free restaurants in the area that I was able to locate. I'll be back some day to visit canyonlands, because the area and the parks are fantastic. But, I will definitely find lodging elsewhere.

This unit is not a converted storage shed but a renovated Trading Post building from the early history of the area, and decorated very nicely with Kokopelli decor. Yes it is small and so is the price. The amazing hot tub is very refreshing and new. There are gluten free restaurant selections in the area, if you had called I could have told you.

Good Location and Comforts of Home
Posted 19 Apr 2019 on HotelsWe put a lot of miles on the rental car during this trip and the two nights we spent at Grand Ma's was just what the doctor ordered. The washer and dryer allowed us to get caught up on our laundry and the hot tub felt great after a long day of driving and hiking. The facility was very clean and the owners were just a phone call away if we needed them for anything. We would stay here again the next time we find ourselves in this area. It is a good location to base out of for sight seeing and hiking.

Comfortable with idiosyncrasies
Posted 20 Mar 2019 on Hotels- Bed and pillows comfortable
- Everything was clean and spacious
- Probably one of the nicest places in Blanding
- Directions “coming from Monticello” do not make it clear that it is right on the north edge of Blanding 20 minutes south of Monticello
- Pix in Trip Advisor deceiving ... sunsets, large cabin type buildings slowly lead to reality... last three pix are real but don’t show it’s right on the highway. Attached pix is it ... you get the ground level and someone lives upstairs.
- No fan over stove ... smoke alarm went off as I pan fried a steak ... pulled alarm off the mount and put it outside
- Ice maker does not work ... ice cubes in the trays were old ... cubes were full of crystals and half way eaten away by sitting so long
- Dogs barking in yard in the back .... not too bad
- Pages of ‘how too’ and plastic labels all over everything trying to explain the numerous ‘idiosyncrasies.’ But everything worked.
- Bed room is right next to Hwy 191 ... road noise consistent but amazingly not too bad
