Quaint country inn

Posted 6 Jul 2018
Pros: Friendly staff, comfortable beds, and good coffee
Cons: Breakfast was minimal with only coffee, granola bars, brownies. It would be nice to have cereal, milk, juice, etc.
Location: Quiet countryside location with nearby lake where they had a spectacular 4th of July fireworks display
Cute little motel in the country with comfortable beds and friendly staff.

A step back in time.

This 40's era roadside motel had few modern conveniences...granola bars for continental breakfast...and no handicap accessible rooms...we didn't even have a chair in ours..

A lovely little old-fashioned motel, a bit off the beaten path. We stayed here when the larger hotels were full. The owners are friendly and welcoming. The breakfast buffet is basically coffee & snack bars, but that was OK. The beds are decent, and the bathroom was pretty clean, although the shower curtain really needed laundering. The main issue was with a sort of mildew smell in our room, we think a result of the air conditioning unit, or because the bed comforters had not been fully washed and properly dried. The smell as very strong the 1st night, but got better as we ran the A/C and went into and out of the room.

Reserved Room Not Available

Posted 23 Oct 2017 on Orbitz
Pros: The owners were very friendly.
Cons: Need to get it set up with Orbitz that only available rooms are listed. They blamed Orbitz for continually overbooking them.
Reserved a king-sized bed, Owner called and told us only two queen-size available, which was okay. When we arrived we were put in a room with two full-size beds (not queen). This was not acceptable and we were not told in advance. They said a "regular" had shown up and taken the room we were to have but we could have the assigned room or a smoking room. I turned down the smoking room (can't stand smell of smoke and no cleaning can ever get rid of that smell) thinking we would still get a queen-sized bed. At no time were we told that we were going to have a full-size bed instead of a queen until we opened the door of the room. This was a great disappointment and made for two nights of poor sleep for me and my husband. We will not stay again unless we are guaranteed that we get the room we reserved and paid for.
